Then I will really look like a dyke, harley...I SHALL DO IT! lmao Nothing like walkin in something that gives you a little height and an attitude. Maybe that is why women like heels..just was never my thing..but to see a woman in them, well now, that is a different story I just may get a pair harley..and if I do, I am going to post a pic of them. May I ask to see yours? And by all means, feel free to model them heehee Seriously though, is there a good brand to get or something I should keep my eye out for? I wouldn't want to finally buy a pair and look like a dweeb...although with being flat footed and needing a wide width boot, that might be inevitable.

Too, I was remiss in mentioning the weight loss. CONGRATS! Probably the most satisfying was the weight loss of the rat bastard loser!

Best boots on the market, or so the foot specialist told me. Blundstones! Great arch support, and they last forever. They have them in biker-style, too.

HD boots are awesome, but I haven't tried a pair yet. I think I'm going to buy a pair for this winter, cause after 5 years of constant wear, my Blundies need to be replaced.

I lurvs ma boots, and used to have quite the collection before I had to start buying footwear with better arch supports (yes, age gets us all, no matter how good we take care of our feet).

blind-- I miss being able to wear all kinds of cute shoes. Gave up on heels at age 20, though. Capezio tap dance pumps are awesome, though, and the heel is a healthy height. Now, I have orthopedic Maryjanes. Here's a pic of them, after my comment. It's awesome that they are manufacturing attractive styles for people with foot problems. YAY! Costly? Hells yah! but worth every penny. Shoes are an investment for me.

AK that was the best 178 lbs I could have lost. As for the boots. I have 2 pairs. One a double zipper Harley Davidson brand but my favorite is a pair of Double H.. They are are just about any western wear store. They are lace up and very comfy.

i wear whatever I want now and I shop less. They forced me to be interested in clothes buying dresses and shoes and whatever it was expensive now I'm following my own clothing path which as it turns out is a little on the dull side because clothes don't interest me. You find out things about yourself when you leave.

I'm guessing these suggested boots by tales & harley are going to cost $200 or so? I like the idea of zipper boots. You guys have got me excited now. I am going to check out some pics of these Blundstones & HD boots. Now all I'll need is some leather pants ..heehee jk

Nancy, I wasn't born into the JW's but I can certainly see that if a person is, there is even so much more to explore and know about oneself. I would think it is exciting, yet scary at the same time. Still, nothing is scarier than staying in that rat infested Org.

ak the zipper boots are not as comfortable as the double H. Actually the price on the Double H was about 79 bucks. and they are much more confortable. Hit craigs list. What size shoe do you wear. I will keep an eye open

harleybear - I am definitely gonna check out those boots for winter. I love the look of them ... how are they for arch support? I have high (HIGH) arches.

nancy - I rarely wear jewellery or makeup, and like you - clothing doesn't cost much nowadays. I'm a bit eclectic, but second-hand and free provides me with all the stuff I need for my different personalities of dress. I love it!

Yes, I did change the way I dress after leaving the WT.

I can finally wear mini skirts, black nail polish and alien costumes.
