since this thread was started--my 93 year old jw dad has gone into a care home ( since jan last year ). it meant a move from 1 congregation to an ajoining one--but he is well known here--since 1971.
for most of the last year no elders have been near him. he had regular visits from a 90 y.o sister who lived nearby. but she died.
my daughter---43--has never visited him at all--she lives less than a mile away.
he was a well loved brother---in it for over 50 years--was an elder once.
now--hes only got me--the apostate.
