there are many diverse members on this board--from exjw-s--come atheists like me---through believers--to active jw's--elders--bethel workers even.

so --if the watchtower society has "the truth"----why have so many left?

i would have thought it unnecessary for an individual "serving" jw to come on here defending the watchtower position.

why cant a member of the governing body be appointed to address this board---and officially go on record defending their organisation?

if they are jehovahs chosen religion--what are they afraid of?

Wt 2007 Dec.15 p.22: Jehovah’s servants already belong to the only organization that will survive the end of this wicked system of things

Wt 2006 May 15 p.22: 8 During the final period of the “ancient world” that perished in the Flood, Noah was a faithful “preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5) In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovah’s people are making known God’s righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world. (2 Peter 3:9-13) Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah’s universal organization (???) where's the scriptural backing???

Wt 1989 Sept.1 p.19: 7 Only Jehovah’s Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the “great crowd,” as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil...

Wt 1983 Feb.15 p.12: Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.

    • Where's the scriptural backing for the above statements? The ones that are quoted do not back up the thought Jw's are presenting.

Black Sheep!!! Excellent. It's so obvious but it is the FIRST time I have heard this from anyone (else).

If the population of this country had never heard of Jehovah and Armageddon, you would think that Jehovah would let them off the hook on the basis of ignorance, but I have never seen any WT article in the last 60 years that takes that view. If the WT taught that ignorance was an excuse, then my parents could have saved the entire population of the whole country from certain death at Armageddon by the simple act of not going there to preach their message.
