Laura, what were you trying to accomplish? Did you think your actions were going to convince anyone to rethink their religious convictions then and there ? If anything you confirmed everything that's been said lately about apostates being mentally diseased. What did you expect the attendants to do, ignore you ? I thought they handled things pretty well. For all they knew you could have had a gun in your purse...you could have set fire to the bathroom while you were back there changing the baby. By wearing the Apostate shirt and purposely trying to sitting up front you were taunting them....baiting them to do something noteworthy for this video of your childish little prank. Even after everything that my family has been through at the hands of this organization, your video makes me want to run back to the KH and be part of that clean and peaceful group of people rather than be involved with anyone on this site who may think this kind of thing is in any way a higher road to take. Love does not behave this way ! From the looks of things, instead of trying to show an entire auditorium full of mistaken but decent people the error of their ways, you could have made better use of your time by cleaning up your livingroom a little before inviting us into it !

P.S. I'm glad your poor parents/family weren't there, I suspect they've suffered enough shame !

I believe Laura is doing this for her parents, all her family has shunned her, she posted videos on youtube with the hope that her family would see and communicate. Laura if you are reading this I can only imagen what you are going through, you did not do anything wrong but I think you should read Steven Hassan's books combatting cult mind control and releasing the bonds. If this is too much walk back into the "truth", I am being serious, if there is a god it judges hearts not which religion a person belongs to. Whatever you decide I hope something positive comes from this.

My last KH meeting and assembly were several years ago, but I remember them being just like what you saw in the video. There was a time when Circuit Assemblys were packed, Kingdom Halls too. But for the past couple of decades, at least, they are getting emptier and emptier.

For the last several years that I attended meetings, the KH was often half empty. Sometimes on Thursday nite (our Theocratic School and Service Meeting nite) the KH would be less than 1/3 full. It was embarassing.

There were enough publishers on file to fill the building, if they just brought unbaptised children with them, but the publishers were staying away.

But look... we can shut the hell up, we can be subtle, we can be in your face, it won't make one whit of difference unless some BIG changes happen. This organization is going completely off the rails and everybody here knows it. And it's not "Jehovah's Witnesses". It's THE FREAKING WATCHTOWER AND THE FREAKING GB. And until the average Witness wakes up to this painful but all-too-true-truth, the simple fact remains: THE WATCHTOWER HAS DECLARED WAR ON US AND, BY EXTENSION, OUR LOVED ONES. It is official now and there is no turning back. Read the magazines. Read the posts. Go to one of the conventions. Listen to what's coming out of the mouths of the "clean, peaceful, sane" men who run this thing. See if you think they're any less childish or nutty.

Then come back here and call us mentally diseased.

It's not so much that the video is offensive....it's just ridiculous and unfortunately the only way to have found that out was to have watched the video.

If the WT orf is clean and loving? why not go back if that's how you feel?

Clean and loving doesn't mean "Absolute universal Truth" but I'll tell you what, I'd much rather be part of them than go around behaving as you did....you know better than to behave like that....so did your friend who had an attack of conscience before joining you in this farce. They should be able to meet in their own place of worship without someone coming in causing a scene for their own self serving purposes. Out of respect for other peoples belief you wouldn't dare do that in a Sikh or Buddhist temple. Not to mention you might not survive such a stunt so well.

SERENITY NOW - Awesome, awesome you-tube video ! Good job. Wife & I just got done watching it. Having been raised in this JW cult since birth and I left at age 44 - 8 years ago - I felt a disgusting, sick sense of rage come up into my heart for you & your friends behalf in seeing how unjustly you were treated with an utter lack of compassion or alleged " Christian love " . I felt like climbing into the video myself and kicking the a$$e$ of those attendants who were acting like wannabe Mafia thugs staking you out sitting there stalking you guys out on your ailse. I mean, WTF ?

They got their chance to play cops & robbers or freaking Marshall Dillon from Gunsmoke. Jesus Christ. And what's with the Zombie eyed women, er " sisters " who were following you along with the attendants ?? It DID seem like the attendants HAD enlisted their help to stalk you guys & gals ! Kudos to you for NOT being intimidated and insisting on your rights as a human being to occupy a seat in a public auditorium . You did NOTHING illegal and I'm sure the police saw that as you mentioned. Watching this just confirms I made the right decision to leave this judgmental cult 8 years ago. I hope this video gets seen by many people online to show how mind controlled these Zombies are. AND to show how cult mind control makes them lose ANY sign of empathy or compassion .
