Thanks, Xena. I'm sure that if we ever met in real life, you'd like me, and you'd laugh at my humor, just as I would laugh at yours and like you.

The U.S. Government is no better or worse than any other bureaucratic democracy in Europe or elsewhere. They all stink most of the time and stink less other times! So what's new? Oh, and like other stinkin' governments we do act in our own interests! Shock of shocks!

When some slimy political dictator has something we want we deal, if he doesn't we deal with his enemy. Yes, we are just like everyone else! I don't remember any country in the world asking Mother Theresa to run their foreign policy!

You think the U.S. is a bully?, don't tell us man! Tell the other governments of the world to stop groveling and sucking the tits of the U.S.!!! Tell the other governments of the world to get their act together. Then maybe the "bully" won't be asked to do it for them!

I don't exactly salivate every time tax time comes around and my money goes to supply other governments with military protection, many times against their own stinkin' neighbors because they haven't been able to get along for generations!

Personally I think the U.S. should finish this job that Bush has set the country on and then it should draw back. Let Israel and the Palestinians work things out without U.S. help or intervention. The same should go for every "little" fight that breaks out in Europe, Africa and Asia.

IMO, the U.S. should use its military to defend itself, Great Britain, Canada and Mexico. No others.

I think I love you. Oh, and don't forget the oil rich countries we're allied with! Damn, I wish we could drill in Alaska.

The U.S. Government is no better or worse than any other bureaucratic democracy in Europe or elsewhere.

The U.S. has more power, and thus more corruption. There aren't too m any democracies in Europe that have prevented democractic rule in neighboring countries while propping up dictators who oppress their people. Yet that is precisely what the U.S. has done in some Latin American countries, while lying to the American people about what they were doing and why.

It's a deep issue, and the corruption runs deep. The irony, of course, is that this corruption is designed for a pragmatic reason: to uphold America's interests. Hard to argue with that, except that this can lead to situations where America acts to keep people in other countries under ruthless regimes, all because that ruler of the country will fight Communism or something else that America thinks is in its best interests. So people living in those countries rightly resent the political meddling by America that keeps them suffering under a brutal rule.

So when American leaders say they are going to "fight terrorism," some people wonder when they will stop supporting terrorism in other regimes that happen to be America's "friends." That is hypocrisy.

Has it slipped your collective minds that each and every one of America’s friends across the sea would be speaking German as its native language if America had not taken the actions it has in the past?

    Hahaha!

Now, now, do help me - what actions would that be? The actions of allowing itself, through incredible incompetence, to be successfully attacked by Imperial Japan at Pearl Harbor?

For that is what brought the States into the war... Do a bit of research on Lend-Lease, before leaping in with a rejoinder. Freeman, you have made MANY other errors too, which I have refrained from correcting.

When it comes to a fight against the Forces of Darkness, the U.S. usually joins in... on the right side. Sadly, it has a record of doing this a couple of years after everyone else has.

Freeman, I have already had to teach you some lessons regarding logical analysis. Have you forgotten so soon? And must I supplement them with lessons in history too? Shame...

Ignorance, and wishful thinking, is speaking loudly in this thread.

Norm happens to be 100% right.

My posts in this thread are not to be construed as praise, support or endorsement for any other government, entity or organization. Poor reading skills exhibited in this thread already make this a sensible statement for me to make.

I came to bury Caesar, and not to praise Marcus Brutus, Cassius, envious Casca, Trebonius or the others on the nod. As it seems that the Braying Class here has learned its history and Bardery from the pages of Watchtower litterItchah, the point will be lost upon them....

I shall keep it simple for you as you appear not to be very bright.

    1. Find an electronic calculator that works and is not made by HP. This is possible. Switch it on and clear the memories and display.

    2. Key in 170000 (Norm's figure for Kurd deaths is not the most widely accepted one).

    3. Press the "minus" button.

    4. Key in 4000 (an approximation of the number murdered in NYC on 9/11).

    5. Press the "=" or "Enter" button.

    6. Check if the answer is positive.

    7. (It is).

    8. Check if the answer is "big".

    9. (It is).

It follows that a lot more Kurds died at the hands of the swine who the States (the trainer of Mr bin-Laden) is pandering to, than were killed at the hands of the Al-Qaeda swine on 9/11.

Perhaps things have become moderately clearer to you?

    Sadly, probably not.

Seventy-times seven times for emphasis, Xena, as the Moron Class, the Jerk Class and the Downright-Plumb-Stupid-and-Ignorant Class need all the help they can get.

    Surely, you agree?
