  I haven't read through all 6 pages of this, but just want to clarify one point (if it hasn't already been done). John Williams is not a CO. He works in the Service department at the Watchtower Education Center in Patterson. I knew him well during my time at Bethel. He is a very nice guy...but super glued to the organization.

  I can personally testify that this is him speaking and he is a bethelite.

  That being said, I listened to this talk and was saddened. I could just imagine all the heads shaking up and down when he was talking about "Kingdom control".

  Teaching English overseas is now quite popular for young uni graduates. Taking a job outside of their country is not because their education is useless but rather due to the economic situation of the home country. Often this (language) is not their major but the degree allows them to get a position anyway. If sensible, they are able to save quite a bit of money, travel and get some life experience - but usually only with a degree.
