Thanks to CrimsonBleu (Post 101), WuzLovesDubs (Post 614), and skeeter1 (Post 2226), so far.

Suppose a man and a woman are both in the official category of "NOT a JW" or "no longer a JW" but are both regular meeting attenders and studying, what communication is acceptable between them which would NOT "warrant a reproof"? Is it possible to upbuid each other spiritually, other than by noticing the singing and note-taking and other active listening that the other is doing? Is it OK to ask if it is OK to sit next to that one? I understand that a spiritual person cannot be "stumbled" (Psalm 119:165). Why is it that elders seem to be "stumbled" more than most, and unable to read humour (a common coping technique for many from a dysfunctional background)?

If you aren't officially a baptized witness, then you cannot be reproved by the congregation.

And why even ask the question? You're not a jw Spike. If you want a relationship now you have to operate in the real world. Are they gonna let you back in to "spiritual paradise" any time soon?

Elders are like pharisees. They stumbled over every little thing that jesus did or said. 'Course, the elders are taught by the wt corp to be like that.

You were obviously never a jw. Any dub knows what reproof is and only a jw can be reproved. Your foot is in your mouth again spike.

Why are you defending JW's all the time when you don't even know what reproof is?

It's when three elders drag you into a room to inform you of WT dogma and that you didn't do it, or that you did something wrong and you shouldn't have. Reproof could result in "privileges" such as commenting at meetings or participating in meeting parts denied you while you think about how bad a JW you were...

Disfellowshipping can occur, unless you are baptized, in which case, they cannot reprove or disfellowship you. At best, they can tell you that a certain course of action is wrong from the JW point of view, but they have no jurisdiction over you unless you are baptized.

Are you baptized Spike? If you are, you can get reproved, if you aren't, then you can't.
