The rule for Jehovah's Witnesses says that the elders must approach the offender and ask him politely if he abused the child. If the offender denies it, then the elders go to the child and say that the child is either (1) lying; or (2) sought out the sex and must provide not one, but two eyewitnesses to prove otherwise.
The elders retain the option of ignoring said two eyewitnesses if the eyewitnesses are (1) worldly; or (2) minors.
As for a "pedophile" being "in denial", can you give an analysis of what such a person would behave like? What are the signs an individual is a pedophile versus an individual who is not?
