But Obama is not moving in the "right" direction. Marxists don't do that, right?

I wasn't "thrilled" with him in the first place. A very leading question and bordering on the whole messiah nonesense. I'm extremely pleased with what he is doing on many fronts. I'm displeased with his need to be bipartisan rather than get some things done. I'm displeased that he is not more willing to bring the last administration to justice. I'm still disappointed that he didn't choose a more progressive Judge for the Supreme Court, but that was to be expected. I never liked the fact that he was even semi open to coal. All in all, I'm "thrilled" that we have someone who is intelligent and articulate, and is moving even slightly in the right direction.

Well, that pretty much says it all - once you think it over.

Woods, Do you honestly think I believed I would get someone in there that was as progressive as I would choose? I mean what exactly do you think I expected? I understand how these things work, that's one reason why all this hoopla from the right is so ridiculous.

Of course not. But I dishonestly hoped there might be some limit.

Aaaahhhh if only I could be President.

    "still" ?

Never was. He's proving to be the "well spoken" ("where's the teleprompter?") empty suit I thought he was. His current erratic governance makes it very plain he is having his bridle jerked by the radical left that he was hatched from. Already seeing the muscle methods of Chicago politics (very much like Marxist franchises in South America) nationalizing major hunks of private enterprise, health care being the Holy Grail that will complete our makeover into another pathetic Socialist country.

You do realize that there are two senses in which one might read that? as "if" only, or "I" only...
