Ann... Certainly it happens in war. Not all soldiers are good people looking to protect the country there are plenty of crazies who are out to just be crazy. However I've yet to see even one instance in which torture helped the country.

I would certainly like to have you point to some examples in places like Vietnam (where we all know torture happened) where torture helped in ANY way. You see that is where many of the heads of the current spook agencies got their start as young men and they all pretty much agree that torture doesn't work. I would guess that is based on personal experience.

Torture is wrong, it is wrong now, it was wrong then. I DO want to know because I DO want to see justice done be it American Russian Chinese Korean I don't care torture is wrong and if you torture someone you should be in jail.
