What non-issues did you get "counseled" about?

When I was a C.O. and a missionary, I received counsel from the District Overseer. He said I was reading Newsweek magazine. He saw it in my bookbag. I kept it in there to read while I was staying overnight at the friends houses during the week. He said they are worldly magazines and that I should really only read the WT. I told him that in the United States many Witnesses read Newsweek and its not a bad magazine. He was still upset, and he included it in his letter to the Branch. The Branch thought it was funny because I used to give my old copies of Newsweek to the Branch because very few had the Internet.

Here in the States I was counseled by the circuit overseer for leaning back in my chair at elders' meetings. He said the elders were offended because it looks "haughty" so they told him. I told him my lower back hurts in those chairs, that's why I lean back sometimes. He said appearances are important. I told him I would apply the counsel.
