So, I'm arrogant because you responded before you bothered to read Acts? Why wouldn't you read Acts? Why wouldn't I treat you like you had to read Acts? Weren't you the one asking me "have you read the book of acts?" Yes, I have. So, why haven't you? Why would you come back and start applying WTBTS to events in the first century congregation as recorded in Acts when you haven't bothered to read Acts? So, I'm arrogant because you're too busy arguing to actually read what you're arguing about?

Maybe you should do a re-read now. I'm telling you to read the Bible before you attempt to debate Bible subjects. That's not "arrogant", that's "intelligent".

Solace, you seem like the type of person that needs to be "handled with care". It's ok to be that way, but on the internet, people tend to be abrasive, and letting yourself get upset about it, or lashing out because someone on the internet was less then nice to you....well it's a never ending battle.

My best advice to you, is avoid cat and mouse games like this thread. Your basically saying the same thing to the people in this thread, that they are saying to you. It's really a never ending argument, because technically everyone, including you, is right, from a certain viewpoint.

I really don't think anyone could do anything on this board to make you happy in your current emotionally distraught state. I think a full thread of "I'm sorry solace" wouldn't make you happy.

i showed this place to a totally neutral party - someone who ive been collaborating on with music for about 8 years - he always didnt like the fact that i was a witness, he constantly called it a cult, and compared it to scientology...

so anyway, this is what he says about the place

"wow, a lot of animosity hey? This place seems even more fanatical than the cult you just got out of. Stay away from them, go back to drugs, man."

I disagree with him, telling him regardless of the ignorant attitude displayed by many, i am getting alot of beneficial information...

SOLACE- My take on this I've reserved for awhile while watching everybody else get in a pissing match on this subject ! My take is this - I basically hold no malice or hatred towards any of the rank and file "mind controlled " witnesses. They are programmed like robots to believe the Watchtower society . I do hold the leaders of the Watchtower society responsible for the big deception they have pulled over the eyes and minds of witnesses - for the sake of power and control. The governing body is NOT the faithful and discreet slave - they can't even decide what a " generation " is , so how can they tell anybody we are inthe time of the end ? I hate seeing them hurt people's lives , shunning policies, child abuse unchecked, etc. I know I'm not alone. But does the " hatred " destroy me ? No, I've moved on. But it does make me aware they don't have God's holy spirit no more than anybody else for sure

While I understand your feelings I think you haven't been around the net long enough. Most forums are like that even as mundane as computer tech-help. It is something in human nature to want to be a top dog. Actually I've come across a new jw-forum few days ago and while somewhat restrained it too wanted to put those "others" down, so there you have it.

i dont mean any disrespect, but i have been involved in internet collaboration for over 8 years now on the internet, working with musicians and producers worldwide (from Canada to Brazil to Hungary to russia), and also helping to troubleshoot and beta test software -- I am A+ certified and working on my computer science degree still.

(now I dont make alot of money ((and whatever i do make goes to music gear, always has and always will, probably)), and im not saying anything i do is BIG, but i think the last time i considered my self a stranger to the net was like 7 years ago ;) )
