I hope it is a learning experience for everyone, myself primarily.

You can't deride others for their "angst" against the WTS, when you yourself exhibit so much angst you felt compelled to start and perpetuate this whole thread of shit-flinging. This is a community where we try to help others and learn (and entertain). So don't play any sort of victim when you ATTACK the community en masse and then expect to be suddenly understood. In other words, if you're truly just a little slow about all this, and not enslaved to some kind of twisted agenda, then you'll have to just take it up the rear for a while until you out-live your rocky start. Kapeesh?

i dont deride anyone for their anger against the borg, i criticize them for anger having to do without provocation or simply because of my positive experiences.

i think its quite clear, maybe you are a bit slow about it.

I'm a pretty straight shooter Anti-Christ, so I'll tell you how it is.For whatever reason Solace has appealed to your sentimentality.Maybe you think he's been misunderstood or you like rooting for the underdog.But your attempt at making my statements "personal", so as to discredit what I have to say, is the very thing of which you accuse me.I "don't like him", therefore my response is invalid ? I happen to think you're being played, and that's fine with me, but don't seek to invalidate my responses to someone just because it's just a little too close to the truth.Sometimes we hear out of our weakness and project emotions that don't exist.

All I am doing is the same thing as you, expressing an opinion. You have made an opinion on my intentions and that's fine. If you believe I am trying to accuse you of anything that's fine, if you believe that I'm trying to discredit what you are saying (that is not what I'm trying to do ) that is also fine. I'm am not being "played", I don't even know Solace and I don't even know who you are. Just one question, it sounds like you think I'm attacking you and defending him, am I wrong in thinking this?

since 09-Jul-08 Senior Member i think the witnesses have a firm grip of the truth - but they are not there yet. keep in mind, the apostles didnt know "the truth" right away, it took them alot of time to get "the light" so to speak. there is no other religion like the witnesses --- you must judge your experience for yourself, by what you see in front of you, by the actions of those in the organization, not by accusations that could possibly be unfounded. im sure this will be taken out of context, but i will also say: there ARE some things that desperately need changing. I have been disfellowshipped, and people call disfellowshipped ones "unrepentant sinners" -- im not sure if that is in any recent articles, but i heard a comment given where a sister said this, and it broke my heart. My sins are over with -- i made my mistake, and repented. I am NOT an unrepentant sinner. My experience with people and priveleges in the organization has been wonderful -- and i believe that is because God is indeed guiding them - and hopefully they will continue to listen, and although they can be stubborn, like the "sons of thunder" -- and i have had some hurtful experiences, i believe they are at least most of the way there ;) One thing to be careful here -- take the advice given by people here, do not let everything out right away. Pray about it, and do what you must. And the same goes for posting messages here. Adhere to the rules, and dont make any outlandish claims of freedom of speech, or you will find yourself "disfellowshipped" from this forum, unable to return.

Attacking me ? I've been around the block quite a few times so I wouldn't go that far.I used the term I meant, discredit.To cause disbelief in accuracy.In other words, "He doesn't like him so how can you accept what he says ? " Defending him ? Perhaps. You don't have to know "Solace" or anyone else to do this.It can be the defense of a concept and consequently the indivdual expressing such a concept will result in being defended.This is how former enemies become friends, when they encounter a greater enemy that unites them.
