Camp ApostoTahoe was mucho fun....except for the hangover. Lotsa nice folks...glad i went and will no doubt attend others. Thanks to Mr Flipper for putting it together. By the way he doesn't look anything like his avatar.

Hello folks , Mr. Flipper here. Mincan gave me "permission " to give a few takes and observations when he posted pictures he took, JK took, and I took. As Eliveleth said everyone there just jelled ! A bunch of nice , well balanced folks just wanting to get to know each other , and relax and have a great time ! Which we all did. I just want to thank everyone who came for such a great time !

Friday night we had dinner at a local Pizza Hut, that's where everyone is sitting at the long table . Then some of us went out to a couple beaches to watch the 4th of July fireworks show explodsing over Lake Tahoe ! Just fantastic ! Lots of people there the night of the 4th , so Mincan, Mrs. Flipper and myself went to meet some other posters JK , Wings and others to go listen to some blues music at a nightclub I used to go . Weirdly enough it was bought out 8 months ago and turned into a rap club for young people. So, we crossed the street and went to listen to classsic rock on speakers , as the band quit playing right before we got there ! Was this a sign ?? So we knocked a few down listened to music, and went back to the rooms.

Saturday morning we all had breakfast , then Saturday afternoon we went to a huge beach about a mile east of the casinos on the Nevada side of the border. Played frisbee, went swimming in the cold Tahoe water, listened to tines on the boombox, had a barbeque, and just spent a nice relaxing afternoon getting to know each other ! By early evening about 8:00 P.M. we knocked off to go sit in the jacuzzi at the hotel, then went out to Mexican food. Some of the others did other various things too on the weekend, but all in all, it was very relaxing , and so good to hear each others stories about how they have moved on from the witness cult - but also just have unconditional friendships where we all know what we have each dealt with , but are there to accept one another. So, just thought I'd express this ! Thanks Mincan for posting the pictures ! Hope you all got home safely ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Hi all,

I finally made it home from the trip. I wanted to post a few more pictures, and will dribble them out for a few days.

This was a very cool apostafest! We had a great time together, and made new, close friends.

Caliber: I think Flipper said it all. We mostly just talked and got to know one another.

The food and drinks were just secondary as far as I was concerned. Since I am an

alcoholic, I did not get to get drunk with the "youngsters" hee hee

ELIVELETH- You remind me so much of my mother who lives up north in California ! You have such a great , energetic personality, with a great smile, and sense of humor !
