    Good day, everyone.

All drugs affect people in different ways. For some, you will have bad side effects - for others, not so much or none. Just like any drug, try it and see how you do.

I see no problem with medical marijuana. But for the chronic pothead, like Jgnat said, that is A-typical. I do have friends that smoke; they act very normal, not moody, and have smoked it since high school - and very successful too, I might add(50 years old). Me? It turns me into a chip-eating couch potatoe. No thanks.

I know several people who got the prescription mainly for recreational use. It's fairly easy. I'm amazed at the number of dispensaries located all over LA.

Do I fault them? Well yes and no. I would rather hang out with a pothead than a drunk. I don't see the potheads jumping into cars, or picking fights, or destroy their bodies unless they smoke it.

I see it mainly as an aid to chemo users. Honestly I wished it was around as an option for my Dad's last days. It was available I guess, it just never occurred to me.

Sorry folks. I call bullshit. I have experience with it too. I don't object to medical marijuana, but I have to tell you that a medical marijuana dispensary opened on the same property as my business. What it was in a nutshell was a legal drug dealer. He had armed guards (who didn't speak English by the way) in the parking lot. The "sick" customers were all young, tattood skinheads who looked very dangerous. Not a one of them looked sick. They would park (a car full of what looked like gang members) in the one place in the parking lot where the security cameras couldn't see. One guy would go in and get his prescription and as soon as he got back in his vehicle, he'd share it out with everyone in the car. Crime went up in the area. My business and the other businesses in the center suffered. Our customers were afraid to park there. Finally the federal govt closed them down because, although it was supposed to be a medical dispensary, the owners were handing out marijuana as tips to workers at the local casino. If I had seen even one sick person, I might have felt differently.

my ex-husband was a life-long user of marijuana. He became moody and paranoid and had personality problems. I also have experienced that marijuana users are totally selfish. As long as they have their marijuana, they don't really care what it might cost another person. My husband and I fought over marijuana because in this area your car can be impounded if you are arrested with marijuana. He didn't give a shit, because the cars were in my name. When he was finally arrested, he had bags and bags of marijuana in the car he drove. It's a miracle I wasn't arrested too. Fucking selfish asshole.

I actually don't object to people using their drug of choice. I just object to bullshit rationalization. Smoke, drink, toke, I don't care. Just don't involve me in illegal activities! It's illegal, folks. If it matters so much to you, why don't you work on making it legal? I think alcohol is worse, and it's legal. Oh yeah, I forgot, the drug of choice of people who run the legislature is alcohol, isn't it?

Although I still see a need for it's medical use with chemo patients, I feel the majority on a prescription are just everyday users.

Hortensia The real bullshit is that it is illegal but I understand what your saying. People want it this is a free country let take a vote! If it were only that easy. MJ is make headway and is at least becoming a decriminalized substance in a lot more states. So hopefully legalization will come soon.

Oh my god! They didn't speak English???!!! I bet they had shifty eyes too. Those foreign types with their drugs and prostitution!!??? They are the scourge of red blooded Americans. Oh if only everyone was a Puritan like in the old days! Hyper vigilance is the key to a clean mind! Those filthy Hispanics and their "language other than English," whatever that is. They are so strange and unlike me. They must be shifty-eyed, that's what they are. Shifty-eyed. They're shifty-eyed.

Shawn you can just go ***************** Imagine if you had a business and some tough looking guys with guns who don't speak the local language are accosting your customers in the parking lot. Scared the shit out of many of my customers. so instead of deflecting the real issue and calling me racist, look at the real issue you asshole. The real issue is that marijuana is illegal - and although it is quasi-legal in California, it is still illegal as far the federal government is concerned.
