Jeffro when you wrote "Stating that people with long hair who were not dressed as cops and who were not driving police cars were not cops, and therefore must have been angels, is not a terribly convincing argument. And you previously stated that the vehicles had no special markings, not that they were identified as any particular 'official' vechicles apart from lights and sirens. There could be any number of explanations for the circumstances you described, many of which don't revolve around you. Divine protection by angels isn't high on the list."

I'm curious what professional public official do you know that fits that description? What's your explanation? I would like to hear it. You say there could be many? I would like to hear your ideas. FYI, The hair, lights, and sirens are only part of the whole picture.

It's just things I've experienced in my life that can't be explained that's all. My girlfriend hasn't believed in such things when I met her (she's more or less Catholic). After being in "my world" she has also witnessed things that can't be explained.

Can't be explained? It sounds as though you have indeed decided on explanations for your experiences. And there are probably other explanations as well.

I'm sure you think I'm crazy, that's ok with me, just don't rule everything out just cause you don't understand it. That's all I'm saying here.

I don't think you are crazy. I just think that your belief system allows you to prioritise likelihoods of explanations in a manner that I regard as irrational. And I suppose you're lucking in a way to be able draw excitement from circumstances that are probably more mundane than you believe them to be.

    How's the Kiwis?

Most of them are considerably south-east of here. Though there does seem to be great deal of them here too.

The story could be a complete fabrication. Or the details could be distorted in your mind. But even if it happened exactly as stated, there is no conclusive proof that the vehicle was that of "professional public officials", though they may have been. You stated earlier that it couldn't have been a motorcade because there weren't any motorcycles. Would it be more unusual to be part of a motorcade without motorcycles than to be angels sent to save you?

Sometimes someone can have a false memory or make too many assumptions.

    Sometimes something genuinely supernatural occurs.

    That is my opinion.

Even though some people die horrible deaths, it doesn't mean that others are not healed. We don't really know why.

    middleman,

Ok ya'll here's my last post for now. I'll put it this way. The fact that some of you have doubts, is tied to the likelihood that many of you have been let down so much by religion (especially the WBTS),

Please give 'some' of us credit for having an ability to reason without becoming entagled emotionally in any of our personal emotional baggage.

I cannot speak for others, but I have 'doubts' in your tale only because your logic is nonsensical. That is why you avoided answering the difficult questions posed to you as to why the angels would go to such trouble to warn one insignificant person of approaching doom, but as I noted, failed to warn the 40,000 women brutally raped in Bosnia, some as young as ten years old, of their own impending doom.

When a logical and morally acceptable answer can be given to such questions, then perhaps 'some' people might review their 'doubts'!

    middleman how bout this scenario

subconsciously you realised you were in danger because instinctively you'd picked up that the signals were malfunctioning and your brain then produced an hallucination to protect you. Its a win win explanation and whats more makes sense (at least to me)

The explanation is simple. They were modern day gladiators doing their day job.

I agree with an escort. Government vehicles most likely. Two other vehicles will jump ahead for the next intersection and the two at the light will follow up the rear until its their turn again to take the lead. In tight traffic conditions, motorcycles are often used.

I saw this proceedure used not long ago when the presidential candidates were in N.H. The lead and follow vehicles only had red flashing lights and no license plates.
