Julian got a hamster today. He is thrilled. We've had so much fun with him. He can keep me company when Julian goes to camp next week. He got a full scholarship through his counselor/therapist's office.

He says, "We need help finding a name for the hamster." We take this responsibility and honor very seriously.

He has named his hamster Ricky Bobby after the movie character, a funny and fictitious Nascar driver. His French nemisis in the movie calls him UhRicky Buuby.

Well, we got our wires crossed and thought Julian was going to be picked up at 6:30 to go to the birthday party at Craig's Cruisers. When no one arrived to pick him up, Julian was in tears. We called but there was no birthday listed for Sergio. But the lady said they might be there anyway. So we drove all the way out there, probably 15 or more miles and searched the whole facility and finally found them. The had come by at six when when we had gone to the store for a quick trip.

I'm sure Julian had a wonderful time. He is not back yet. I'd love to get out there on those go kart courses. I went somewhere else one time and raced. It was a lot of fun. Can't afford anything like that right now. Glad Serge's family can.

I love riding go carts too FHN!!

Went to a sponsored picnic at a kids' amusement park and all the rides were free. My little granddaughter and I were in a double go cart. She had a fake steering wheel, but she thought she was steering! LOL It was raining, but we had a blast sliding on the corners. Wish I had a pic of that.

Glad Julian found the party. He'll probably be tired, but will have a lot to share w/you.

Well, they got home and asked if Julian could go out and shoot fireworks with them. Hey, it's 10:44, but who cares? It's summer and you're only young once. I told Serge's step dad to make sure Julian ate. His appetite is poor because all that's going on. He can't afford to lose weight, he's already so slender. So all in all, I think it's going to be a fun night for Julian.

Juni, someday you come over and we'll go to Craig's for a double go kart ride. What fun that would be. Hey, gotta try to find some hope here, you know?

I would absolutely love that idea. It'll be hard for me and my stiff joints to get in, but I'd do it come hell or high water. I LOVE GO CARTING. Actually that is one of my wishes in life that I can drive a stock car on the race track. Am I crazy or what?
