I think one of US biggest propaganda is to teach that bringing democracy to a country the use of military force ok, as long as for good cause,( like US control of thier resourses).

The USA has always been more than happy to let people sit in the swill of their socialistic or communistic countries...as long as they only pissed in THEIR beds. (And this of course also applies to states like Kalifornia.) And while we are on this subject, I did not see USA tanks rolling into East Germany and knocking down the wall did you? (If I recall, it was the East Germans who knocked the wall down, and embraced democracy.) People in general will grab freedom and democracy when they have a chance, force does not need to be used.

First off, I'm very curious...what color are the clouds in the world you live in? Secondly when the USA starts island hoping thru the Pacific, killing all the "sub-humans" and sending thousands on death marches, (and cutting off heads from horseback just for fun) you be sure to let me know.

No but we are killing the muslim civilans terrorist who want us out of their countries and raping their women for fun. oh lets not forget abu griab and club gitmo.

Yikes. I really hope that's not what it's going to take to wake people up to what is going wrong here.

And I think what is happening is quite intentional.

It is pretended that, as in the Preamble to the Constitution, it is "we the people" who wrote that document, rather than fifty-five privileged white males whose class interest required a strong central government. That use of government for class purposes, to serve the needs of the wealthy and powerful, has continued throughout American history, down to the present day. --Howard Zinn, A People's History of the United States
We are not hated because we practice democracy, value freedom, or uphold human rights. We are hated because our government denies these things to people in Third World countries whose resources are coveted by our multinational corporations. That hatred we have sown has come back to haunt us in the form of terrorism....Instead of sending our sons and daughters around the world to kill Arabs so we can have the oil under their sand, we should send them to rebuild their infrastructure, supply clean water, and feed starving children....In short, we should do good instead of evil. Who would try to stop us? Who would hate us? Who would want to bomb us? That is the truth the American people need to hear. --Robert Bowman, Catholic bishop, former lieutenant colonel USAF

Has anybody here heard of the Project for the New American Century? I think that gives you the answers.

    Just,

You fail to understand the question about the US government being Imperialistic, and raise irrevelant side issues. Kinda like Bush's answer to the war on terrorism was to invade Iraq.

In general to the subject about US Imperialism:

Imperialism is can be in many forms, ecconomic, cultural, and militarial. The US seems to be using all three, and G. Bush it appears is just a puppet (beinging that he is too ignorant about world affairs to come up with a military stratagy himself or even understand what are the facts or reasons for terrorist attacks(bad or evil people rhetoric), and is being led by those more intelligent about military stratagy not to mention the very rich friends he has, that direct him what countries need to be under US domination in order for the US to gain control of oil, and other natural resourses in order to maintain and sustain it position as the worlds only super power.

As was brought out in other discussions, the possiblity of finacial resourses of the US to maintain wars with other countries, may prove to be too costly, which burden the poor and middle class will feel the most, thru program cuts, that effect government aid to social services. While many of the very rich continue to prosper from the hard work of both the very poor and middle class, profits for the very rich and ecconomic loss for the other 2 classes.

The very hard job the government would have if that happens(which seems very likely) would be to justify thru propaganda why the government is not looking after the welfare of it's citizen, while spending heavily on military occupation of other countries. As soon as it starts hitting these classes harder ecconomically, that's when the government will need to become either more despotic and control the media more, which would not be that effective because of the internet and all the news we can get from more independent sources,, or atleast not so US governmentally biased sources. Sources with degrees in Political science or geography that can explain history and the currant situation in the world without governmental biasedness.

This may be very good thing in time to see happen, but suffering seems to be the cause of many to take a closer look at what government is really doing and make some changes as more become enlightened as what needs to be changed in governement to benifit all.

I think Google has some good videos on these subjects like this one:

Oh I think I understand your question and your type quite well. You needed to go no farther than admit you thought the USA was comparable or worse than the Japan of WW2.

Some people would be quite happy for the USA to roll over and show their bellies to everyone from illegal aliens, to Osama. They also would not have a problem with their flags waving over, or in place of where ours fly today. And you seem to be part of this crowd. You know, not everyone was raised in a shall we say less than free state, suffering from an "outcome based" education. Some people can see farther than the my country, always wrong bunch.

    Bush's connection to big business:

So what....whats good for big business in most cases is good for America. Almost anyone could see this...unless of course they have socialistic or communistic glasses on.
