SHOCKING!

I just managed to see the last 15 minutes or so of the 'Tonight with Trevor McDonald' programme on British TV. It concerned young children under 12 who had their blood tested and it was found they all had (at least those I saw) high levels of toxic chemicals in their blood. One family ate organic produce and were generally the "healthy" type and yet their daughter had the highest levels of certain chemicals than others in the study.

A toxicologist said that although the chemicals were high we shouldn't worry too much as they are TWICE AS HIGH IN THE USA!!!

The chemicals are being taken in by children from diet and general every day substances and, for the first time ever, I heard a toxicologist actually say the current situation is why we have a cancer epidemic on our hands! I've been saying for some time we've got an epidemic because some years back one in ten people contracted cancer and then it went up to one in five. It is now one in three - and it is expected to reach one in two!!!

The programme ended by the narrator stating: "We are the guineapig generation." In other words, we alive today are being subjected to poisons all around us and something will only be done when enough of us are really sick. Well, as a cancer sufferer myself I think it will be difficult to reverse the trend as simple items like toothpaste, soap, shampoo and everyday food may all contain contaminents. For the present, there's just no way of getting away from them!

It is disturbing because nothing can be done unless we go to live back in nature, the world got flooded with man made pollutant chemicals in the early 20th century then heart disease and cancer shot up to shocking levels by the early 1950's after they began climbing sharply from the 1920's. They are in the food we eat, cloths, household cleaners, furniture etc so we are like guinea pigs.

Then they talk about cholesterol being bad yet people were eating butter, meat etc since time immemorial.

It is worrying to read stuff like this, but there is nothing much we can do. We have to ear, drink, wash etc, and if these toxins are present in the everyday things we all have to use, then we can't help being exposed to them.

    Don't forget about Dihydrogen monoxide!!!

    http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html

Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

    • Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
    • Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
    • Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
    • DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
    • Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
    • Contributes to soil erosion.
    • Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.
    • Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.
    • Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
    • Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.
    • Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere.
    • Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

What are some uses of Dihydrogen Monoxide?

Despite the known dangers of DHMO, it continues to be used daily by industry, government, and even in private homes across the U.S. and worldwide. Some of the well-known uses of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

    • as an industrial solvent and coolant,
    • in nuclear power plants,
    • by the U.S. Navy in the propulsion systems of some older vessels,
    • by elite athletes to improve performance,
    • in the production of Styrofoam,
    • in biological and chemical weapons manufacture,
    • as a spray-on fire suppressant and retardant,
    • in abortion clinics,
    • as a major ingredient in many home-brewed bombs,
    • as a byproduct of hydrocarbon combustion in furnaces and air conditioning compressor operation,
    • in cult rituals,
    • by the Church of Scientology on their members and their members' families (although surprisingly, many members recently have contacted DHMO.org to vehemently deny such use),
    • by both the KKK and the NAACP during rallies and marches,
    • by pedophiles and pornographers (for uses we'd rather not say here),
    • by the clientele at a number of bath houses in New York City and San Francisco,
    • historically, in Hitler's death camps in Nazi Germany, and in prisons in Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Libya, Iraq and Iran,
    • in World War II prison camps in Japan, and in prisons in China, for various forms of torture,
    • during many recent religious and ethnic wars in the Middle East,
    • by many terrorist organizations including al Quaeda,
    • in community swimming pools to maintain chemical balance,
    • by software engineers, including those producing DICOM software SDKs,
    • in animal research laboratories, and
    • in pesticide production and distribution.

Ian, not to get too personal, but what if any changes have you made to your lifestyle to keep free from contaminants that are known carcinogens or which can lead to or cause cancer? I feel if there is anything we can do we might as well implement these strategies to do what we can for our concience sake if nothing else. "One out of two" huh? That is where we are heading with cancer after all the money and research? I cry "COVERUP CONSPIRACY!" With this latest spinach scare only once I heard a newswomen remark that the spinach growers used nonpotable water to irrigate the spinach fields. She also mentioned the FDA warned growers to stop this practice. But that was the last I heard about this practice of using water not fit to drink to water the crops. What the heck is in non-potable water that is dangerous? E-Coli perhaps? After my experience with the Watchtower and the Elders I do not trust most institutions to care for me or give me the straight truth. One must think carefully and read between the lines and ask oneself "Who butters their bread?" Is it the pharmaceutical companies? The oil companies? The power company? Etc.... Am I being herded to buy a product? For what reason?

Elsewhere, I've just checked for Dihydrogen Monoxide contamination in my home, and it's everywhere!!! Even moving to the desert will only decrease the contamination, not eliminate it. What to do??!!

Ian, I wonder if in addition to the increase of chemical contaminants in our foods, clothing, etc., the fact that humans live longer nowadays is also a factor. The incidence of cancer increases with age, and we're now living longer than ever. Did the program you watched mention this possibility?

Yes, this was quite shocking. I try to give the kids cod liver oil, but the problem is that dioxins tend to collect in fats!

What to do and whether to do it!! Constant quandry taking care of health is.

I know I tend to worry about the ten to fifteen hours I spend under an x ray machine having cardiac catheter ablation. That was 12 years ago. I wonder if it will ever catch up with me. A nurse was told not to stand too close to me during the procedures as she would 'fry'. I had a little gown on and everyone else was dressed in lead!

Anyway, this crap is everywhere now in one way or another. We can only do our best and try not to worry to much! In reality, there's very little we can do about chemicals already in the environment. I try to chase the kids up with vitamins etc but they still need to breathe, eat and drink.

I became a vegan for eight months, then a vegetarian, travelled far to get the best organic products I could buy, stayed away from microwaves, purchased special toothpaste and soap, drank only mineral water, etc. Unfortunately, my haematologist told me yesterday he thinks the cancer has come back. It doesn't matter what we do, we just can't get away from toxic chemicals and carcinogens. They're in the air we breath, the water we drink (though where I live the water is considered possibly the best in the UK), the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the furniture we sit on, the carpets we walk on, etc. It would take a massive global effort to be even relatively free - but at the moment big industry isn't about to let that happen.

What really surprised me when I was a patient in a major cancer hospital here - considered a centre of excellence - was the rubbish food they dished out. It was full of E's and chemicals and, guess what, was microwaved! The hospital never, ever cooked fresh food. It bought in ready-cooked meals and nuked them!

To add further insult to injury, the chemotherapy used to treat my cancer can actually cause cancer. Anyone who can live beyond 80 today without having contracted a serious disease is made of pretty good stuff. I'd like to have an equally strong genetic makeup and powerful immune system.

I have followed your case, dansk. I'm sorry to hear that. But, it doesn't surprise me. I have seen that happen so many times, in the majority of cases, i think. I have pretty well concluded that, if i get the big c, i will take my chances dealing w it in nonchemo ways, die w dignity, if it comes to that.
