Can't tell you all how badly I'd like to be there. I was a Michigander all my life until moving to southern California one year ago. Kills me that there's going to be a fest in Michigan and I can't be there. Interestingly I will be there for a few days in early August. (Flint and Detroit areas.) If anyone would like to get together for a meal or drinks or something, that would be faboo. I've been able to make it to some Cali meetups in the last couple of days, and it's been so good for me.
I've got a bit going on, but would be available Tuesday, August 8th if anyone else is.

BSoM -- What say you and I and the kids meet somewhere BEFORE the 22nd? That way we can hope they won't be shy around me, at least. Lunch on say, Tuesday the 11th? You pick the location.
Jourles -- OK. I'm bringing coleslaw, 2 bags of ice, maybe some Mallorcan "cocorrois" (if I'm feeling ambitious), and napkins.
Confession -- Flint is about 1/2 hour from me. What if I join you and Jourles on August 8th? Are you originally from the Flint area? Maybe I can scare up some more "apostates" to join us as well.
Emma -- Darn, that the AA Arts Fair ends Saturday PM!!! Please do try to come. It would be very nice to see you again.

Yes, before moving to southern California one year ago, I'd lived in Flint for about 17 years. Jourles and I have tentatively planned to meet there late afternoon on Tuesday, August 8th. You and anyone else in the area are more than welcome to come!
