Ha!! Burning Watchtower magazines. How fun!

What I'm curious about is, who actually had the brilliant idea of bringing magazines as kindlin'?

How funny too it would have been if you all sat and started underlining and raising your hands!

Junction Guy stopped at the truck stops on the way to MI and swiped the magazines from there. Then he decorated them with his own art work. The decorated mags he had left after the burning.... he was going to take back to the truck stops. return visits.

Glad everyone had a great time - and I'm really bummed we missed out. My oldest was in a car accident on his way w/a friend to my Company party, and that finished the day for us. He's okay - but it was his first & he was quite shaken up.

Lisa/Oz - I am so sorry I missed you guys especially!!!!! Tim says to say "hi" and to tell you guys you don't have to wait for any fest to head on up here - we'd love to see you! & we're going to be heading south near X-mas time, so perhaps we need to stop by your guys place

For the rest of you Michiganders - see you hopefully at the next meet-up (which is only a week or so right?).

Oz was really really disapointed he didn't get to see you. He said you were the reason he was looking forward to going.

It was a fun time. Hopefully we can do this once a year. I definitely learned a thing or two by putting this together. Next time it will run as smooth as silk and we'll have it at a location which is easy to find. Wahhhhh! I so wanted to be there, but--again--moved to SoCal from Michigan a year ago.

Jourles, you and I (and I think someone else here) talked about getting together, Tuesday, August 8th in the late afternoon--when I'm in Michigan for a few days. Are we still on for this?

Kewl. Anyone else wanna come? If it's still all right with Jourles, we'll meet in Flint right near the split of I-75 and US-23. It's the Hill Road exit off 23. It's the Redwood Lodge--you can see the place right there along 23--can't miss it. Large place with really great food and atmosphere. It's also a brewpub featuring world-renowned beers. (They win awards at the major world brewing competitions every year.)

If we meet in late afternoon, I think they have free appetizers and half-price drinks from 4pm till 7pm too.

Be great to see any who can come!
