I guess it's time to make an executive decision. Let's plan on meeting at the Kensington Metro Park. I've been there before and it is huge. No lack of picnic areas. It costs $4 to get in the park per car(in-and-out privs). I or someone else can get into the park earlier in the day and set up at a nice spot -- near grills and bathrooms. Once a spot is nailed down, we can put up a sign at the entrance of the park saying which area we are at. Park hours are from 6am to 10pm. If some people are planning on driving in on Saturday from out of state, we can plan on meeting up around noon-ish? It should stay light out until almost 10pm.
Pot-luck ok? I can bring a couple of coolers to keep food/drinks(alcohol is allowed) that need to be chilled. If you're not able to bring a dish, don't worry. But it would be nice if you have a specialty to bring it along. *hint hint* Knowing me, I'll probably bring a ton of food.
It might be a good idea to bring along outdoor folding chairs if you have them. Most places sell them for like $10.
If you're like me and tend to forget names, I'll bring some sticky name tags for whoever wants to wear them.(I know it would help me!)
