Man, I'm getting emotional flashbacks reading this thread. Richie, you're lucky to have such a large group supporting you through this. The only people I had when I went through my crisis was my gf's family (who I ended up moving in with when I was 19). I owe my ex's family many thanks for keeping me from going insane.

The biggest mistakes I made when I was a teenager were giving my father my bank account number, and having my car registered under his name. I threatened to arrive with a police escort to get my guitar amp back (I had the reciept). My loving father then threatened to beat the shit out of me.

I agree with storing your valuables elsewhere, but be careful who they're stored with. I lost some things to my "friends" by doing this.

Things haven't changed all that much with me and my dad. He still tries to control my life. It's much easier to ignore him when I don't live with him.

Again, I'm so fvvving sorry you're going through this.

Richie, the 100 bucks for a po box is not correct dude.

Even at the UPS store you can rent 3 months at a time for close to $30.00

Richie.... PO box for 6 months at the Post Office is $40.00. Some other privately owned companies (like Mailboxes, Etc. and others) also have PO boxes but they're usually more expensive.

Call them. If there's more than one post office in your area, and a shortage of PO boxes, call each of them until you find a post office with PO boxes available. The price should be the same.

I doubt your mom is going to kick you out. She's just going to make your life so unbearable that you'll just move out by your own choice.

I put up with my situation for three months until I got so depressed and sick of my situation that I got the hell out. I'll tell you, after three months of controlling slavery, I was full of joy to be out of the house, even though I was flat broke.

    richie,

After you get your inheritance, $100 will be nothing. Just chill for a few days.

Do you have someone who will accept mail on your behalf?

I know this is a difficult time for your Richie. Momma is pushing every button she can. But don't get down or upset. Don't give the pricks the satisfaction.

Give 'em there pound of flesh. Let them play their petty little piss-ant games. That is all they have. They can't control you, and they can't take your dignity. Only you can give that away.

Just make sure your mom doesn't take your inheritance.
