For me, as an American, the next 4 years will be very problematic.

The vast majority of muslims believe that - so what are you going to do - condemn them also - you may not like it that Bush won but he did -he is a human being and entiteld to his opinion just like anybody else - so get over the fact he won and is president and believes in God
Craig- did he say that you also have to feel the way he does about questioning God or was he saying that he feels that no one should question God? Because if he's not mandating that you feel the same way or advocate the same thing, what harm does it cause you that he feels that way? What is so problematic to you that he feels the way he does about God?
Since when should any human, and even more so, a "leader" of humans, say that some authority figure should not be questioned?
It's self-deceiving, and very possibly self-serving...therefore, stupid.
Politicians who are religious, tend, IMHO, to hold less value for human life compared to someone who is non-religious. They seem to feel that they are on a mission and that this justifies anything that they feel compelled to do. Bush's past record as a pro-capital punishment governor would be enough to make him a no-no if I was in a position to vote for him.

There is a big difference between somebody on the street saying something and a president saying something. Let's say, as another example, that he suggested that someone should be dead. A bush believer would carry it out. See the difference?

Interesting. Should the leader of a country not be allowed to have personal beliefs? And to what extent should they be allowed to express them before the general public gets nervous?

And their self-defined "God" blinds them to reality.

I agree, Craig.
It's interesting that the Bible records instances of God-fearing people, even "friends" of God, questioning God, and he replies to his human inquirers.

Exactly.
