Last year I went through "Priceline.com" and got tickets to Nashville Tnn. round trip for I think it was 200.00 Name your own price.
You may want to check it out.
My credit cards are maxed out right now I can't go anywhere for at least two months. Im bummd.

    A question to Bill

I am curious about how the majority of the active JWs have been treating you in your community and surrounding communities for tha past year?

    Can you comment on that?

It would offer a lot of useful information as far as how the Bosses have benn influencing the sheep.

I think Salud has a point:

I know from my own experience that the JC is *not* there to discuss things or find the truth - if they want you out then you are out and the outcome has already been decided before you walk into the room.

By not going you remove any pretence that they may have of trying to discuss things and treating you fairly.

However ... in things like employment law in the UK or ombudsman complaints you would be expected to exhaust any procedures with the organisation concerned before going outside. I'm not sure what it's like in the US but it may be something to bear in mind.

hmmn ... my advice basically boils down to either "don't go or go" which I guess is not much use. Whatever you decide though you know there will be a few of us rooting for you.

"...Humble Christian man thrown out of church for protecting molested children."

According to news articles posted publically, SILENTLAMBS has resigned.

Pray tell, how does one get "fired" after one has already resigned? It's a done-deal, no?

Or has SL actually "resigned" anything much, accept his Position in the Kongregation?

When the average viewer is watching him on national tv, will they also wonder if he has actually, fully Resigned, in every essense of The Word? Does he still not attend all meetings? Will not some see this as "misleading"? I know I sure do. Resign means resign, final, done, over. You can't be in when you are out. But who cares what sKally thinks, right? After all, she pretty much gets what she deserves.

sKally, who HAS resigned all men who put themselves in such Positions and expect me to Swallow It Down with no (quest)ions asked or precieved...klass

i went to the meeting tonight to check out things in the local congregation. This spiritual paradise is showing a few cracks. When i arrived about ten minutes before the meeting started, i felt like a ghost. i move around but no one seems to know i am there. no one speaks or even looks at me anymore according to wt instructions. i have never in my life even sat before a judicial committee, yet it appears i have created a new qualification within the organization. the undf, you go to meetings yet you do not exist. a sidepoint-when i showed up for service about a month ago, i was assigned in my own car by myself with no territory. anyone ever heard of that one?
back to the meeting, during the instruction talk i decide to go to the bathroom, as usual i am escorted by an attendant who follows me when i leave my seat. i wonder what they think i am going to do? the attendant pretends to just have a need to be close by and busy with other things. it is starting to tick me off. i decide to stand at the back for the questions to the instruction talk. i raise my hand for the first question, no one else does. the speaker waits and waits, finally, another hand goes up which he pounces on for relief. did i mention that part of the undf? i am told i am not on restrictions and can comment freely, but everyone who has a part on the meeting is instructed not to call on me. I like to raise my hand about 20 to 30 times when i attend, just to make a statement.
everything goes pretty smooth till talk #4, the theme was "why we should always go to the elders when we sin" or words to that effect. it was given by a young lad of 22 who i sat on a judicial committee for, less than six months ago. he confessed to multiple acts of oral and regular sex with a local sister and not telling anyone for three years. we let him off with reproof, i was so jaded at that point i could not see much point to the judicial process. yet this guy gets up on the stage and proceeds to chastize the congregation for hiding sin? i could not stand to listen to it, so i went to the bathroom again, you guessed it, i had my escort. this time i decided to have some fun. after going to the bathroom i beat him out the door and just waited beside the door. he jumped out of his hide when he saw me standing there. he then pretended to go to inspect the bulletin board, so i escorted him. i just stood about one foot away and followed him around. he finally got the point and went back to his seat, i stood close by for a little while and then went back to my seat. next came the service meeting, a local needs parts that to this moment i cannot figure out what the local need was, something about the creation book. next came the magazine sales part. this part topped the entire night, why? when it came time for the demonstration the local child molester gave the sermon. this is the individual who lied about the multiple molestations of one child and may have molested as many as five children i personally know, this person was offering a "teaching" part on the service meeting. this was specifically stated as a no no in the letter we recieved from the society, yet there he was as big as life.

    does the wt protect pedophiles?

Well locally our pedophile can comment at the meetings and currently has teaching parts on the service meeting. i on the other hand have none of these "priveledges" and for what? telling the truth and turning him in.

after the meeting was over, the only person who spoke to me was a move in elder who asked where my wife was. this is interesting, as she has not attended a meeting in four months and this elder has never met her. was he being a little saracastic?
let the reader use discernment. i did manage to talk him out of june km. i then went to the magazine counter to pick up mags and was told "we gave yours all away." this love is killing me....so then like a ghost i faded away, well almost, i have a pickup with loud pipes and could not resist leaving a little rubber in the parking lot.... if an undf person lays rubber in the parking lot will anyone really hear it??

if you sum all of this up, it is just how the wt punishes those who expose child molesters. think how much more horrific this would be if i was a victim. yet far worse things have happened to poor victims who are run off from all friends and family when they try to seek justice. i do this for a purpose, but what about the victims who are fighting for their sanity while watching the child molester have parts on the meeting, remain an elder or ms and have the blessing of the congregation at the direction of the wt?

If Bill doesn't show, they can disfellowship him and announce it fast, before Dateline airs. They WILL df him if he doesn't go to the hearing. It happened to my cousin, Sharon three years ago. She didn't show at the Wednesday hearing, they tried to call her for a week, to inform her, and never caught her at home, (she has caller ID so saw they had tried) and announced it the next Service Meeting.

If he goes, and fights it, they have to allow him a week to appeal it, and that is another 2 weeks usually, and he has another option if that fails. All will fail, but it buys some time. I think he should go to the hearings.

    PR vs. a mass exodus?

The dubs have always created their own Persecution.

They can either publicly, privately or even by their own distorted consciences tell themselves that to watch the Dateline article would be as if they are disobeying Jehovah God himself. Now that all the individuals interviewed by Dateline will be df'd before the show airs, all good dubs will not watch it.

If they do (or more likely when the hear about it the next day) they will label it as Apostasy and Persecution. For those not prepared to make the leap to sanity it will entrench them even more into the belief that this is all a precursor to the beloved Armageddon.

But it won't, some folks will leave, most will stay and sometime soon there will be schism. Just like any other stage 4 cult.

In the meantime, those Watchtowerites in control of information to the r&f will prefer bad PR to a mass exodus. It's easier to explain.

Sadly children, girls and women are still being abused, not only by some sick bastard whom they know, but also by the system that will force them to relive this degradation, which is then covered up to supposedly protect Jehovah's name and the reputation of his Organization - like it has much of a reputation anyway.

An organization that promotes grossly untrained pastors to positions of control is Evil. It must end.

    Blessed be

    Glen who once was Deleted.

    All along, The Watchtower
    Repackaged all their lies
    Broken lives and promises
    Wasting all our time

The WTBTS is walking a fine line in your case(Silent Lambs). If you are disfellowshipped unfairly they stand to face a public investigation of your case and their disfellowshipping procedures. Why? Because you will claim that "disfellowshipping" represents an attack on your character with the sole purpose of hindering free speech in the public interest. This moves the issue out of the grey area of "no governmental intervention in religion" and into the civil rights area of the First Ammendment.

To the three families, Barbara Anderson and Bill Bowen, my thoughts are with you. Here are some of them.

From what source did this decision come to call judicial hearings for those working with Silent Lambs. This did not come from the legal department or service department. It must have come from the top, those who claim to be the anointed over all the belongings of the Lord.
What are their motives? I believe they have the same spirit as the high priest in the days of Jesus.

Jhn 11:47 Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council, and were saying, "What are we doing ? For this man is performing many signs.
Jhn 11:48 "If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."
Jhn 11:49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all,
Jhn 11:50 nor do you take into account that it is expedient for you that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish."
Jhn 11:51 Now he did not say this on his own initiative, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
Jhn 11:52 and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.
Jhn 11:53 So from that day on they planned together to kill Him.

They are reasoning that if they allow those taking the lead in the Silentlambs movement to continue then all Jehovah’s Witnesses will come to believe them, and the political authorities will come and desolate the Watchtower organization just as the secular authorities are decimating the Catholic Church. So they intend to sacrifice the few, to prevent their nation from destruction and not only that but it will result in the gathering together many of the children of God scattered abroad. It will cleanse the JW organization and will result in peace and prosperity for their numbers.

They believe, that with God on their side, who can prevail against them.

No one has asked Why are they disfellowshipping these
people? Why go thru the motions?
Why not declare that they've DA'd themselves?

I can only guess that either they want to emphasize the
point to ordinary Witlesses - or there might be some legal
reason, since a written, voluntary DA letter from
    them is unlikely.

That said, it's a very cynical move. They depend on
ordinary Witnesses being stupid (pretty good bet). I can only
hope that this sort of immorality keeps breaking down morale
thru the organization, high and low. I, think long term, it
    will.

Hi Bill: I would attend, with my lawyer in one arm and NBC Dateline in the other, followed by cameras, video, and tape recordings ... and watch these so-called JW lovers of TRVTH cower and hide. It would make for an interesting footnote to the Dateline program.
