  Midweek Meetings no longer Necessary

  i am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.

  to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.

  if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.

  The C.O. probably needs the extra night to review the elders qualifications, so he can decide who to give the axe to.

  anthony morris iii will be the guest speaker for tomorrow's spanish assembly at the escondido assembly hall.

  just google the address to get directions.. i was thinking of bringing a copy of my sparlok video for a autograph ;).

  I HAVE AN IDEA FOR THE DONATION ARRANGEMENT!!!

  if you are on the fade or still hanging in there, when they pass around the anonymous slips of paper at your congregation, how about writing down a high donation amount and not pay a cent of it.

  i think nothing over a $1,000 because it may cause a red flag but to each his own.

  i'm going to write down $500 and then watch the elders scramble every month to meet the quota... lol this will be fun!!!

  Well at least there is a stirring of conscience thought and not just blind acceptance.

  They are probably saving the RNWT of Mal 3:10 and the tithing for another letter down the road.

  so proclaimed the brother that read the wt letter tonight that explained the new kingdom hall funding arrangement.. everyone in the hall claps .... well, like it was the last talk on the district convention.. he says 'what bank would wipe out a debt of $200,000 ???

  My Experience and how I finally let myself see the truth

  first off - for those lurkers who feel guilty just for being on this site and reading this (even if you don't read any further, as it is your right to choose that course) i want you to know that you're not alone in what you're going through or in what you are feeling.

  if you read on, i hope my experience may be of some small help to you.. this may be long, but i'll try to organize it in a way that doesn't make it painful to read.

  There probably will be a entire section on trolley witnessing and how to get the most sales exposure. etc.etc. There has to be a new organized and reasoning book because of all the changes. Surely the legal department has it's hands in all this to minimize exposure to the corporation. They just keep coming out with all this new stuff to keep the Jdubs heads spinning, so they don't have time to actually think: "It's 100 years! Maybe they were wrong! Maybe we are duped!"

  JW Witnessing Trolleys. To approach or ignore what is your preference and why?

  i saw two brothers this morning next to the main train station in liverpool city centre this morning.

  they were not actively approaching anyone.

  what i found strange was that they were from a cong that has different territory, so i don't know why they were there.. anyway i knew them both, and they know i was df'd, i was in my car and couldn't park up for a chat, but i did beep and wave to them as i drove passed and they waved back.

  I have had my fill. Yes to each his own. I would not stop unless I knew the person at the trolley. Then I would stop to be kind and say hello (chin held high) I would make a comment about how things have changed; I would ask them casually where their Bibles are. After their answer I'd say "really? Wow." and be on my way.

  i think of how judgmental we were as witnesses.

  "worldly ones" were almost as bad as disfellowshipped ones but not as bad as "apostates"..

  I recently read some of my journal entries from 10 years ago. I thought "was that really me?" Being 4th generation, it was all I knew. Seeking TRUTH was always important to me. I think those who should be embarrassed are those who knowingly teach lies. As a child should not be embarrassed for the stages of growth; We should not be either. If we chose to remain ignornant then THAT would be embarrassing!
