i remember for the jackson's victory tour (a very long time ago) - that they donated most of that tour money to a "unnamed" charity.. and i always suspected that the wt were the recepients.. and thoughts?.

sorry to make such a self-centered post (again), but you guys are the only ones who can help me.
so here is a rundown:.
i am a 33 divorcee with two girls ages 13 and 8. i am not df'd or da'd; just shunned (also reproved).
and says I still have to obey them because he is"the man". He doesn't do anything for the kids financially. He owes me thousands of dollars in child support, and wrecked my credit.
Not sure... maybe someone can check for me?
Isn't there a scripture somewhere that says something to the effect of... "He who doesn't care for what is his own is worst that a person without faith?"

a comment was made on another thread about how sloppy some jws dress at conventions.
instead of hi-jacking that thread, i thought i'd start a new one on the subject.. i always noticed that there seemed to be two, opposite directions of how jw men dressed at conventions...and in general.
and i'm speaking more of the married with children jw male...not the young, on the prowl, horny dub male in search of his female counterpart.
I remember brothers getting all bent out of shape if someone came into the KH with a snappy looking suite.
I remember when the 3 button jacket came back.
And I remember one bro getting all bothered by it.
But mostly, I think this is what's going on.
The ones that look good in a suite... most of the time they either have:
a) A wife that dresses them and keeps them straight.
b) They probably make enough money in the real world that they have a job that has them wearing nice suits.
But I think most of the brothers aren't people that have jobs here they ever have to remotely have to wear a nice suite.
So they end up not affording it in the first place and going to just get a "suit."

I thought the parts on wanking it was too much.
Because it made it seem that if you wacked it - that you were sinning.
I remember they made this joke the when you turned to the chapter on sex... the book said something to the effect of, "Ha ha... I told you you would check out this chapter first."
But I remember thinking, "No... it was the wanking chapter."
