A Question for Underground Apostates, How Many Are There?
by Village Idiot inwhen i first came to this forum i was of the belief that those of us who were still in due to family reasons were few in numbers perhaps one in a thousand in the jws.
soon i came to the realization that there were many more.
we have dozens of posters here who are mentally out but still in.

In the congregations I am stuck in has around 100 pub's. I count around 6, that are in so called "Good Standing" yet do nothing, and half of these only come now and then. They neve take part in the meetings, or fs. I am in the coldest congregation, I have ever been in. It has ran off more people, in its history, with made up rules, and extremely harsh treatment, of even little old sisters!! My brother in law was counting, ones that had been miss treated while he was growing up. Close to 30. He was dfed, for saying he went to an R rated movie, then admiting he lied, just to fit in with classmates! Yet he is Hardcore jw elder! -

Why are so many Elders and Elders deleted so angry at the Flock?
by JWCartPusher inhas anyone else experienced the wrath of elders and ex-elders on innocent rank-and-file dubs?
what are these power hungry men and their wives so mad about?
where is the love we were promised when those witnesses spent hours indoctrinating us about the spiritual paradise of witnesses we would be joining?

Years ago, almost no one spoke up to the CO's about anything. Times have changed, and many will speak up, and if the CO, starts checking, and fins it to be true, elders get in hot water. The may or may not know who talked, but they let it be kniwn, their mad! -

There used to be this great truck stop in Bend Or, named Jake's. I moved there from Atlaanta. I made an almost nonstop drive, for the almost 3,000 miles. I got there at 7pm Friday, and set up till 2am talking with the friends, I was going to stay with for a few weeks.
I woke up at 5an to excited to sleep. Showered, got dredressed, went out to explore. I was so hungury. I had barely eaten, to save money on the trip. Well Jake's was busy, so I knew the food would be good!
I ordered a large Ham & Cheese Omelet, with hash browns, biscuits & gravy. I had no ideal what i was in for. The omelet was made with 8 large eggs,! 1/2 pound of cheese. 4 large biscuts, covered with gravy, a large plate of hash browns, also covered with gravy.
It was so good, but I was only able to eat half of it. Packed the rest for later!
That's my favorite breakfast! Both in memory, and what I like!

New "donation" arrangement begins to FAIL
by Tech49 inso here we are, almost a year into the "new" congregation donation arrangement.
and its beginning, as was predicted, to fail miserably, and to have direct negative consequences on the poor sheep.. let me give you a little experience, directly from our congregation of about 80 publishers.
back in may, after reading the letter about the "new" arrangement, the elder body decided to "donate" the extra funds on hand to wt, as directed.

Not Seating at the Same Place in All Meetings.
by Tempest in a Teacup ini haven't heard this one in a while but it has been on my mind lately.
maybe it's because i'm noticing that these days people at the kh are going the extra mile to vary their seating places in all meetings.. having skipped meetings for a few weeks, i'm wondering if there has been a talk/article about that recently.
that's one of the most laughable rules they made and i never felt bound by it.

Talking to support and contacts at WT HQ
by Juan Viejo2 ini have a story to share about my calls to wt ny hq this past week.
i was quite surprised by the level of disinterest and lack of concern from the two contacts that i spoke to.
rather than jumping right in and sharing my experience - and perhaps "poisoning the well," i'd like to read experiences of others on this forum who had the urge or need to call the wt contact number.. btw - mine was not an apostate rant or overly critical of the wt and was presented in a friendly and helpful way.

I called them once. 2 hours before trying to kill myself. The coldness, and total lack of any emotion, kindness, or even a small amount of genuine concern, just sealed the deal! I was totally worthless, and unwanted, and just needed to die! So as to never again burden anyone!

Funny story about dumb JW rules
by cookiemaster insome years ago (the year when i got baptized), i was at a district convention (or whatever they call them these days) with my best friend.
he had a part in one of those acting parts at the convention (i have no idea the term jw's use for them in english).
anyway, we were both seeing through the bullshit of the borg but weren't aware at the time of this forum or other "apostate" groups, nor of the full extent of the perversity of this religion.

So, every sin can be forgiven, except Apostacy? Right...that makes sense.....
by stuckinarut2 inok, so we know that the wt teaches that every sin can be forgiven, but if one leaves the org and becomes a "vile apostate", that is "sinning against the holy spirit" and can not be forgiven?.
so, murderous sick people are ok.. child abusers...ok. violent drug dealers ...ok. war mongering genocidal killers...ok. but, speak against the gb....not ok....you are the worst of the worst!.
makes perfect sense really hey?.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses really practice charity and help the needy in war ravaged areas in third-world countries?
by JWCart inthe pusher i have told a young man today that jehovah's witnesses are one of the biggest helpers with hunger reliefs and bringing solar stoves to west africa and the watchtower has donated vast resources to help ebola victims by providing hundreds of "clean up stations" plus jehovah's witnesses are sending millions of dollars in medical aid, is this true?.
are jehovah witnesses with backing from the watchtower helping eliminate illiterate children like the catholic church is doing in uganda and kenya by housing 5 to 13 year old kids and proving two meals, a roof over their head and education up to 15 years giving them a edge, so they don't end up in the sex trade, as a jw-cart the pride swelled up in my heart knowing how generous our organization is with the poor.

Only people I ever hear of all their wonderful chairty, work from is them!
A few years back, a tornado tore up a city I used to live in. 2 jw's houses were destroyed. My brothers, and a well connected elders. The RBC was quick to respond, and totally clear the wreckage, in one weekend, and finish the replacment house in two weeks, for the elder. They did not even offer to provide clean up help with his place, and never even gave rebuilding his place a real thought!

You totally missed the first part of what I said. It was said from the platform, of the congregation I am stuck in! My brother in law is an elder in another congregation. We were talking about it over coffee this week. There are three old time pioneers in his cong, that are very upset over this issue! Neither of them have tablets. Two are late 70's, the other is a little younger. All three live on very tight incomes!
I guess these two elder bodies, just add their own spin, gid knows the bunch I have to be around have been known for that type of things!
