  Britain scanned KM's wanted - Can you oblige?

  i am having a littertrash break for a couple of months.

  the nonsense irates me.. as far as teaching my son critical thinking skills, i do know i have to keep up with the congregation "bile" study, the misery school and circus meeting items.

  christmas and his b-day is sorted for this month.

  Bit like the resurrection shuffle on Gomorrah.

  The Live Forever book in cdlib was updated to say no whereas

  the Insight Vol 2 still states yes. You really need to double check

  all wt references to see which one is the latest correct view.

  I'm still in but am finding difficulty with the "driving standards stewards"

  Its all a bit like CAMS they've got rules and statutes but don't know how

  I asked an elder today...from the horse's mouth!

  today's watchtower made out that the combining of branch offices around the world is a loving provision from jehovah to streamline the production, but i had to ask an elder afterwards, even though i already knew the answer.... "if the wts is selling off bethels and brooklyn property and cutting the publishing costs and commitments, then where is all that money going?".

  elder replies, "well the donations are just not coming in anymore and so they have to sell off property to stay afloat.".

  gee, i thought if this was jehovah's approved organisation carrying vital truth to the world, then he'd be making sure the donations would be sufficient.

  Searching for something else and came across this thread.

  I am in Oz and in 2011 the non profit financial return showed that

  $18,388,395.00 was received in donations. Up from $13,378,741.00

  in year ended August 2010.

  Donations and overseas aid (outgoings) was $ 4,720,856.00, this

  amount was apart from the rest being spent in oz for

  teaching, evangelizing and bethel services.

  if you allow your child to have a part in the nativity play, it's apostacy.

  even if the child just stands there, dressed as a an animal.

  with no lines.. even if you've been inactive for several months.. talk about extremes and emotional blackmail!.

  Well ItsMyLife, I empathise with you, I also was a born in and we really didn't fully understand

  what was being thrust upon us. We did what we were told. We should have got a medal for that.

  Sadly, rules are more important in their eyes than torn emotions and struggle. You are in the

  right place for encouragement and support even if the posts are sometimes seemingly cold.

  Ultimately the folks here reach out and feel your pain and want to help as best they can,

  and we pick up a few linguistic skills on the way !!!! lol

  well, given the meaning of apostasy, the idea of the fictitional nativity play and participating therein,

  goes against the "accepted" religious belief that you by default agree to when you used to be active

  as it is construed in the above A word.

  Become a member of any organisation and dont abide by their rules of association and

  see what happens???? My point being where is the delineation between the jw and any other org.

  I've been a lefty for many years, protesting against the wrongs of society. Join us and waver....

  you is out. That is why it's so important for all to make people aware of what they are getting in to....

  "read the constitution".

  excellent material can be found within the reasoning book, page 328, para.2, 3. occasionally, i see posters make presumptuous comments like, "all you need is the bible", or, "i'm born-again, so there's no need for spiritual assistance from another christian", or,"i'm saved", or my favorite, "jesus talks to me directly.

  " on one hand, i can't be overly critical of such ones because they do attempt to read and understand the bible on their own.

  (acts 17:11) not to mention they're generally peaceable folks, just self-misguided when erroneously believing that they can go it alone.
