  it cant take 18 months to transfer through the Library of Congress , I'm sorry but I'm just not accepting that we live in the 21st century not the 18th, and I like most of us have read the links,

  Atheists and Christmas

  yes, we can enjoy christmas!.

  we can put up and decorate a xmas tree, wrap and give presents and get the whole section of non-jw family round for a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings - yum!.

  we don't feel guilty about getting time off work and relaxing in front of all those cheesy xmas movies (baby's day out is still my favourite).. so if, unlike me, you want to frame your festivities in a story of a magical baby go right ahead, this thread isn't about belief bashing.. whatever your definition of the 'true meaning of christmas', mine is just as valid; it's the celebration of my freedom, my ability to choose how to live my life and who to share it's joys with.. so let this rabid, godless, antichrist of an atheist wish you all a very merry christmas!

  so today i did it.

  i cut my dish network programming to basic....$20 a month ty very much.

  instead i have $60 streaming device that gives me everything i need.

  New CRTC (Canadian gov't) regulations make the cable companies offer better for now - you only have to purchase basic, and can add individual channels for about $3 each. Public pressure and letters to the CRTC drive legislation. The telephone and cable companies get pretty much free reign of a 'new' service for a few years, make a load of cash, then they get regulated down to a more reasonable deal. That's what happened with cell-phone contracts. New regs. last year forced them to charge a flat fee for cancellation rather than pay out your 3-yr contract. It's a good thing.

  Putlocker works great, especially since we have new laws against P2P file sharing. Fines are steep, but prosecution is unlikely - still, one must stay clear of the law! Also, network shows must be made available free for 1 week after initial showing.
  
  I'm sure, Simon, that the telecommunications industry has it all planned out. Yes, cable is saying good bye ... have you noticed how they are pushing wi-fi? Not because it is better for the consumer, but it requires much less 'infrastructure'. No installer running cables, etc. Who knows what the future will bring? One thing is for sure, we shall pay for it dearly. hahaha, for sure.

  or, just sit back and watch the show and the trick affects if you want.. or like the uk guardian you could see the movie in terms of dysfunction (personal and family).. quote: the original movies were always based on the most extraordinary nexus of personal and family dysfunction: a motor of guilt, shame and conflict.

  Wow, that's really cool, FTS -- a resurrection! And yes, the simplistic tales (as in much of literature, think Animal Farm or Narnia books) often have many layers.

  Speaking of fashion, and smiddy, I recall the leisure suits, my dad had one. I told him he looked like the guy from "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom!" ...haha, so glad those went out of style - oh, and remember polyester suits? ahaha, plaid? Anyhow, I remember when i first started working, I bought a fancy suit of 'hot pants', I was 12 going on 24. ahaha they are now back in style.

  Ah, the old John Lennon glasses, I have a couple pair, but the lenses are 'Janis blue'. *Pearl*
