he is going to die... could be in a month... could be in a year.. all the kids recently visited my parents over last weekend.

Else, glad you're doing a bit better. Keep in mind that this isn't like anything you've been through and you will have ups and downs. You'll be OK; it may take some time but keep trying to take care of yourself and be kind to yourself. I'm thinking of you.

I Have A New Grandson But He's Very Sick :(
by minimus inhe was born yesterday with many complications including breathing problems, possible lung underdevelpment, anemia and body temperature issues.
the poor little guy was hooked up to a breathing tube and tons of monitors.
because the hospitals couldn't handle some of the problems, they sent him and my daughter to the best hospital in boston last night.

I took a Red Cross CPR course this spring and the instructor acknowledged that the America Heart Association changed their recommendations to only chest compressions. Not long after taking the class I was talking to a friend who is an ER doctor and he confirmed only doing the chest compressions. It is exhausting when done right!
Did you know you need to crack the breast bone or you're not being effective? That was an eye opener for me.

My life ... and how JWD came to be - Part 5
by Simon inmy life ... and how jwd came to be - part 1. my life ... and how jwd came to be - part 2. my life ... and how jwd came to be - part 3. my life ... and how jwd came to be - part 4. i swear, i thought it was only a couple of years at most since i wrote part 4 of "my life and how jwd came to be".
i re-read it after someone posted to it and brought it back on active topics and it was kind of prophetic in a way ... well, i had the 5 years part right if nothing else:.
it would be nice to visit the site (or whatever one is around then) in 5 years time to let people know how we're doing and find only a few of the same people still around.

I will add my thanks! I remember finding this site through Freeminds and asking Randy if he thought it was safe to join. I'd left the wts but hadn't gotten to the point I knew they did not have the truth. My mom was still alive and I wanted to leave the door open if she needed me for anything.
Your story is probably much like many of ours. And I do think it a bit dramatic in a good way! Setting off for a wonderful new life in a new country! I'm so glad it's gone well for all of you!
Blessings to you all.

fantastic day!!
by chicken little inwe all stood under an old walnut tree, gathered around a homemade alter with a basin and jug set upon it.. a female ordained priest led the ancient ceremony of christening the child into the christian faith.
the sun broke out as we sang a hymn.
of praise.

What about showing up with upbeat music, friendly smiles, maybe a bake sale or food and handing out flyers? Something like attracting more flys with honey. They need to see how happy and content with life poztates are.

Hello everyone
by Wordlygirl ini have been lurking on here for some time and i finally decided to join the fray.
i am 25 years old and was raised in the society.
fortunately when i was 8, my father left the organization and this allowed me to see the wrold from both angles, the jw (mom) and not (dad).. at first, i was strongly on the side of the witnesses and i even allowed myself to be convinced that getting baptised at 11 was a good idea.

My first one. We'd gone to Cancun. i remember looking up at the huge moon hovering over the ocean and how remarkably peaceful it felt. It wasn't ujntil we got home and found a memorial invite that I realized what night it was that I was admiring the moon. Haven't been since and that must have been fifteen years ago - how time flies.
