On my way walking in to work this morning, I saw a wt on the sidewalk. It was folded back to some photos and they were the old ones of the harlot (UN?) and a wild beast-lion sort of thingy, really old pics. I wonder how they can keep spitting up the same old stuff! The warnings haven't changed any more than the terrible art work! How could I have swallowed this stuff?

Big announcement after all DC have ended?
by Quandary ini was told by a reliable source that the organization will be making a "big announcement" at the end of the summer when all the dcs have ended.
has anyone else heard this?
maybe this is the "new light" they have alluded to in recent wt study articles?

When I was really studying (personal study and study for meetings) it took much longer than above. It could take me a couple of hours to prepare for the wt study, book study, min school and svs mtg. each! I'd look up every scripture and make notes, do research in the "Aid" book and others; what a goody two-shoes I must have looked like! However, I couldn't sustain this pace for long and fell into terrible guilt for not being "spiritual" enough.
And when I "pioneered where -the-need-was-great" I'd make sure I could give either of the "sisters" talks in case no one showed up. And I'm admitting this...

I chose to fade instead of publically renounce my faith in order to leave communication open with my family.
And did this work? It's mainly why I faded, but it didn't work. I was "inactive" and refused to meet with anyone. The assumption was that I was sinning or apostate, neither of which was true.

How "old" is the oldest person who lived in your family?
by JH ini was just wondering how old can a person live.
my grandmother lived up to 97, almost 98. .
those born in 1914 are 92 years old and some are still alive.. i guess that no one lived over 120 years since the flood.. how "old" is the oldest person who lived in your family?

It's when you don't expect to be SHUNNED...
by Ms. Whip in...that it hurts the most.
today, when i was walking into the grocery store entrance an old jw friend of mine was walking out.
it was one of those face to face akward moments where there's no way you can pretend the other person isn't there.

I don't get how they can shun people who aren't official
It happens all the time! By the time I was inactive a few months, my mom and sisters were shunning me AND my kids, even the non-baptized ones. And most witnesses I ran into. I would think it strange if they didn't; so much for fading....
