  Russia=King of the North, USA=King of the South? New info coming in from Annual Meeting 2018

  it was announced in this year’s annual meeting that they believe that the king of the north is russia and the king of the south is us/britain.

  for me this is the first time hearing from the society actually identifying the identity of the king of the north.

  I had read in a very old WT publication that Napoleon Bonoparte was the King of the North.

  Then came Hitler, USSR and now Russia. Seems Jehovah himself is confused as to who the King of the North is.

  Anti-witnessing mistake by me !

  a couple of times while i was anti-witnessing i have made a fundamental mistake, which was to try to show the believer that it was neither intellectually nor scientifically necessary for there to be a creator.

  the discussion got to this point because i said i was an atheist.. this latest time was talking to a street preacher who was not a j.w, but he did the same thing they do, i.e not really listen to the points i made, tried to rubbish science etc.. i have decided when, (if), this happens again i shall say something along the lines of " whoa there !

  you have done a huge leap from talking about your bible god to the matter of a creator, if i concede there was a creator, how can you prove it was your god ?".

  The subject about whether a God Exists or not , based on this Universe, is highly vague and needs a lot of intellect to discuss, IMHO

  I think a good way to make any Christian think, is to question their own Bible.

  Many Christians (Including Jws) are ignorant of the arrogance, injustice, wickedness and needless violence in the Bible. Point out those verses, and demand an answer

  The Bible clearly warns us not to lean on our own understanding.

  If I get a headache, can I look into the Bible for a cure.

  Religion in the USA and Elsewhere

  trying to follow media reports in the us and elsewhere, a question occurred to me.. in the uk, religious beliefs are largely irrelevant to most people.

  even those who claim adherence seem to do so in a fairly vague way and it doesn't seem to make much difference.. in the us (it seems to me) it's a much bigger issue.

  the evangelical christian movement seems quite powerful politically in various iterations ("family values" etc.

  USA has the best freedom of speech and freedom of religion, among the many nations I know of.

  Is that a reason that cults flourish here. Does anyone know ?

  the new testament or as the jw`s like to call it the christian greek scriptures are all about christians bearing witness about jesus christ and his kingdom and that the name that is to be above every other name in heaven and on earth and under the earth is none other than jesus .php.2:10. nowhere in the nt are christians instructed to be witnesses of jehovah ,they are to be witnesses of christ jesus .. the jehovah`s witnesses and their new world translation of the bible are preaching a doctrine that is not in the bible and certainly not in the new testament.. 1tim.6: 3-5 proves that it is the governing body members that are those that are mentally diseased /obsessed with wrong thinking.. the fact that jesus is only mentioned 8 times in the bible word index and jehovah is mentioned 10 times more, 80 times proves just how out of touch with biblical christianity jehovah`s witnesses really are.. mat.15:9 they teach commands of men as doctrines .and go beyond scripture..

  Jesus = Semi Fiction.

  Hence it doesnt matter how many times who are mentioned.

  if the society was right and armageddon came a knocking would you want to live in a society run by the org and bully elders.. would rather die at armageddon.

  I would live to see if the conditions promised are real. But would very soon be identified as an apostate, as I hate meetings and relentlessly praising Jah.
