It was announced in this year’s annual meeting that they believe that the King of the North is Russia and the king of the south is US/Britain. What do you think of this? For me this is the first time hearing from the Society actually identifying the identity of the King of the North. Very interesting times! I am curious to hear what you guys think. Please share your thoughts.

They were identifying the USSR as King of the North in the 1980's and Hitler's Germany until the end of WW2.
The 70s called. They want their talk outlines back. A few years ago they thougt it was China. Russia is not the USSR anymore, the Cold War is over, Russia is a convenient scapegoat for the left losing an election but in the world stage they aren’t all that important.
The fact is that the world has figured out that loosely regulated capitalism is better at conquering and prospering than war.
Didnt Russia confiscate their property?

As for identifying which countries are what, in my opinion jws should be banned world wide and imprisoned. At least the GB. Let the members make thier choice if they would rather denounce the org one by one.
Why would governments put up with such blatant crap.
Anyway Im sure the $ will pour in. And panic sets in agian for the 'flock'. Affecting thier wallet and health.

They believed the Soviet Union was the King of the North until they said they did not know and now it is Russia (which is a smaller part of the defunct Soviet Union).
The WT Governing Body are doing what the Donald does to get his core supporters worked up...throw red meat to the base.
The WT, like Trump, has to rely on senseless speculation in the form of Russia as King of the North and putting out there a new Ezekiel book filled with 'type and anti-types' and Bible prophecy speculation as though it were red meat to get the rank & file involved, back to meetings and donating.

No doubt they are trying to stir up some new found excitement. They also want to incite Russia into more severe persecution against them, it's disgusting. Th JWs in Russia are defenceless.

@Jules Saturn - What do you think about it? You say that it's "very interesting times". Is it interesting to you because you believe them on some level, or are you finding it interesting because they're calling their shot (again)? I just wonder, because they do this stuff to trigger fear and anxiety even in people that act like they are out that "oh know, maybe they're right".
They pretty much thought the same before. They just bring out stuff like this to whip people up. They are good at it, and people fall for it time and time again.
