  Banners for London Protest

  hi folks, i’m attending the london protest at the excel convention in august and am making some banners.

  i’m aiming for short but memorable sentences that will stick in jws minds and also make them laugh a little at their own organisation.. my best so far is ‘this is not a protest, it’s an overlapping protest’.

  has anyone got any ideas for more?.

  2018 Regional Convention

  well guys, after a spiritually encouraging convention, i’ve decided to return my heart back to jehovah.

  Even if mentioned about Jesus, so what

  I see many commenting here about the convention not mentioning about Jesus. Even if they had, so what? Is Jesus truly a historical figure, truly the son of God, truly performed miracles, all his prophecies came true?

  The way Jesus said to leave our family and follow him, makes him a cult leader too.

  This year’s convention

  two things i noted at this year’s rc.

  1) the new teaching with respect to matthew 25:45 which was applied equally to the rank & file jw.

  this teaching is also found in the watchtower study for last sunday.. then he will answer them, saying: ‘truly i say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.. 2) the new armageddon video which was a big shift.

  The illustration of the JWs being in a field rather than in a bunker is possibly because the scary bunker videos depressed too many

  The urban legends we heard as JWs!

  how often have we heard some sort of sensationalist urban legend as jws?.

  here is an example i was told as a kid:.

  the experience of a sister who knocked on a door and was greeted by a big fierce looking man- intimidating and mean.

  My 2 cents

  A brother lost his job because he took leave to attend a Friday Convention. He was worried and Prayed. And then next day, someone miraculously kept a basket of vegetables in his doorstep. (Seems Jah would provide only for a day)

  A sister bought some stuff from some Christian Store and since then her dog was always barking at it, until she got rid of it . Seems Jah created dogs with a capability to see demons. How partial he is!!

  Cults are a lot amusing.

  Teachings/beliefs that fade into oblivion without explanation.

  "millions now living will never die" that teaching persisted for a number of years from the early 1920`s ,sad to say that their would not be anywhere near millions alive today.and with another few years their won`t be anybody alive .. the year 1925 was supposed to see the resurrection of faithful men of old such as abraham issac and jacob and noah who were to be princes in the earth.

  of course no such thing happened and we don`t here anything more about that prediction anymore.. the time period between adams creation and eves creation was an excuse why armageddon was delayed in about october 1975 because they didn`t know how much time had elapsed between the two.

  that`s all forgotten about now.. six thousand years of human history was supposed to have ended in about october 1872 according to studies in the scriptures vol.2 1906 , the "time is at hand" page 11 (forward 1916 ) puts the start of the one thousand year reign of jesus christ as of the year 1873. so in 1906 they the i.b.s.a.

  One Circuit Overseer came to visit me when I started to show signs of Apostasy.

  I asked him about Watchtower's Ban of Organ Transplants and Vaccinations and the subsequent ban lift in the past. He was staring blankly and with the looks on his face I came to know he genuinely never knew about it or he should have been a great actor.

  Such Life threatening teachings of WT, had faded into oblivion within a few decades.

  If JWs are living "The Best Life Ever," then why preach?

  shouldn't the unhappy and unfulfilled worldly people see what jws have and be drawn to them?

  shouldn't they be showing up at khs asking for bible studies?

  at work shouldn't they be asking how jws families are so happy?

  From Job’s story, I learned Jehovah values children the same as cattle and possessions.

  A man was stoned to death for picking up sticks on the Sabbath. So much of a Loving God.

  I bring this up whenever I get into a conversation with any Christian. And would ask them if I was the man who picked the stick and they were the Israelites, would they have stoned me ? Would be fun to watch the Terror look on their faces
