I just finished re-reading today's WT article and I just wanted to cry after each paragraph. Oh, how cunning they are. I wonder how long they've been planning on releasing these articles--from the New Light, to this one? It just fits their own gloves perfectly.
Everything is just so cleverly laid out...
Notice, also, how each paragraph almost always has that question at the end. Questions to make the reader not ONLY think, but to make them doubt themselves, lower their self-esteem, and tell themselves that "yes, I agree with the WT. I should not do this, this is bad. I must really exert more effort. It's my fault." The question-technique being effectively used in Bible "studies" are also working on them, without their knowledge.
I feel sorry for those who become more depressed or feel more guilty because of the way this article was written.
The article can be summarized into:
1) "Never doubt Jehovah." = How dare you doubt the Watch Tower? The very discreet organization that has been feeding you all this ***p.
2) "Remember that Jevovah does not cause our problems."= We don't care really. It's either your fault or Satan's. The GB is here to let you know that.
3) "Do not allow negative speech to affect you." = Do not listen to those who think.
4) "Do not neglect your relationship with Jehovah." = Never stop attending meetings and field service, or else..
5) "Do not become self-centered." = Do not think. Just obey us; that is your obligation.
I almost attended today's meeting but due to some circumstances I ended up not going. Well, if I did go, I would have rolled down my seat or gone out the entire session because of this drivel. How they blatantly use God's name to fit their delusion is just very sad. And I was a part of it.
