I'll bet big money that there are heterosexual members of her JW congregation who are divorced and remarried. What does the Bible say about THAT??? Would she refuse to bake them a wedding cake?? What about birthday cakes? Does she refuse to bake those based on her religious beliefs?? Halloween pastries? Easter cookies? Or is she just objecting to gays who want to get married? She sounds like a sanctimonious hypocrite to me.

I studied with the JWs for about 8 months in 1987, then studied again for about a year in 2005-2006. Moved and then studied and attended meetings for about a year, going to most meetings. Finally saw the light around the end of 2007 and asked too many hard questions of my study conductor.....he immediately stopped coming to my house. I started viewing this website around that time and have continued doing so. I never went out in service. I always figured if I was pressured into it, I would quit studying and attending meetings. I only got involved with the JWs in the 80s because my parents' JW neighbors were very nice to them after a house fire. When I told them I had stopped studying they guilt-tripped me big time, as if I had ruined their entire lives. So glad I broke free from all that nonsense. I never run into any Witnesses now, but if I did they would probably shun me. Ask me if I'd care.

I highly recommend the 'JQG' (TM) method for dealing with JW meetings: Just Quit Going!!! Why even listen to that garbage any longer?? If you HAVE to attend, just engage in some pleasant daydreaming while The CO is spouting his utter rubbish. But untimately, the real answer is to Just Quit Going!!

Use the 'JQG' Method (TM): Just Quit Going. Don't start attending in the new location. Just drop the entire matter. If anyone calls or otherwise contacts you, just say: 'i have nothing to say about the matter. It's between me and Jehovah.'. Keep repeating this every time someone asks you anything. Say nothing else. That should end it. Your 'Integrity' is simply that you saw the light and left. Nothing else needs to be said or done. Good luck!

Just stop attending meetings. If ANYONE tries to ask why, just tell them 'It's a personal matter I choose not to discuss with anyone except Jehovah'. Keep repeating this as often as necessary. This might be the 'middle way' you and your wife are looking for. If your JW 'friends' drop you, then they are being un-Christian by casting the first stone and being judgmental. Point this out to them. Then go ahead and live your life the way YOU want to live it.
