I remember making my bet that Thursday night 19 years ago, when after all the BS I seen in this religion I told myself, "there is no way Jehovah's Witnesses can be the true religion." That was the last meeting for me & my family, and we never ever returned.

Typical hypocritical Watchtower and "we are better then you" Jehovah Witness thinking bashing the Catholic & Protestant religions of that time for killing witches. Are those religions doing it today? NO! If the Watchtower religion was around then, they would have been killing suspected witches too. Everyone knows even today the Watchtower would kill apostates if they had the power.

FuGK This Religion- Stop Ruining My Life!!!

after not going to the meetings since august and trying to sort through this with my family, my wife today told me she wants to separate because of our differences over being a witness or not.. this is ridiculous.
so i said- how can you separate from me when the religion you whole heartedly believe says you can only separate for 3 reasons- abuse, willful non-support, or stopping her from her meeting attendance, etc.

Implications of Dropping "Types/Anti-Types"

the hermenuetics of the type/anti-type practice was a big deal to me in realizing the tatt.
i searched high and low for a rational basis for concluding that god was communicating in a type/anti-type format that wasn't special pleading and circular.

I don't see type and anti-type JW beliefs going away entirely. It will be pick and choose as they please menu of them.
1914 will soon be out the door.
The JW's will embrace 607 BCE as the real fall of Jerusalem.
The 2,520 years ending of the Gentile Times will be moved to 1934 CE, and the Watchtower will spin somethng about the rise of Hitler, WWII and last days.
This extends the Last Days to now, and they still are able to say Armaggeddon can come anytime now, thus remaining the Doomsday Cult they are.
J.F.Rutherford's days as a prominent Watchtower leader are probably numbered also.

Heard it from a friends JW mother
by Still Totally ADD inthe other day we went to our friends business to have our computer worked on.
our friend was raised a jw but never got baptized and left when he was in his late teens.
any way we started talking about the new jw.org and the new tv show they have.

If Extraterrestrials are found existing, will people abandon the Bible?
by Kalos ini have heard people say: if space exploration proves extraterrestrials do exist, that would be the end of the bible (which teaches earth is the only place there is life).. i feel this will not happen, because already science proved certain views reflected in the bible are wrong:.
1) joshua stopped the sun to win the war (joshua 10:3).
2) satanthinking earth is flattook jesus to the top of the mountain so that all kingdoms of the earth could be visible to the eyes (to person like jesus, just saying is enoughwhy need a vision of all kingdoms of the earth.

I think as big as the universe is there has to be "alien" life out there. I'm also in agreement with those that think it not in our best interest to have them discover us.
SSome religious people would abandon believe, while others would be scared into religious belief. Most religions would probably say they are from Satan, while some would probably try to convert them.

The jehovah Witness religion has always been about class distinctions. Every JW would love to say they were a pioneer without putting in the hour requirement. This is the JW equivilent of all JW's getting a trophy for being on the team.

the rank and file is now in a strange situation.. it is clear that the jw leadership is in for a huge change.
the type / anti type change makes clear that they make a u-turn.. it's clear that with this changes the current doctrine are temporary.

Why can't individual Jehovah's Witnesses see that this religion is a nothing more than a cult & a scam?
This religion is so easy to see through. All the promises the Watchtower said was going to take place, and that the end was so close. The fact that they have changed major doctrine and are rebranding the religion to where some people don't even recognize it as Jehovah's Witnesses anymore just shows that it is lead by men who are changing things as they feel.
What God of truth would have people beliving certain things in order to survive the end, then all of a sudden change his truth? Utterly ridiculous.
