  World powers come and go .Will China replace America as a first world power in the next decade ?

  No.....China will never replace America as the world power. Either one of two things will happen. America if felt threatened, would either defeat them in a military confrontation, or the world becomes untied under a world government. I think the latter will happen.

  America is just too strong militarily with an aggressive & well armed population. Also, America is just too battle tested for China to just walk over us and claim top dog status with no contention. It was only 70 years ago that Japan was walking all over them. What great battles have they fought and won since? China has a strong economy because they don't have a high military budget, nor give out economic aid to others like the U.S. does.

  I work with and know many Chinese people. I even have a Chinese internation student who lives with me. Chinese people love America. They are very peaceful, and have no asperations to be a world power the way the U.S. does it.

  long time lurker, first time poster here finally looking to get some things off my chest.

  i've always been a very curious person with tons of questions about everything, and i also care deeply particularly about societal issues like social injustice, racism, and homophobia.

  that, coupled with how boneheaded all the elders in my congregation are (except for one), led me to ask even more questions that led me to find ttatt.. .

  Technically speaking......JW's would have to have the truth for apostates to actually apply. We all know they do not have the true religion.

  1 - still think it's the truth ...came to this site cause danger is your middle name.. 2 - concerned, smoething's amiss but still believe.

  3 - 98% sure it's bs, but still go for / with family.

  4 - anger / denial, inactive with minimal attendance (ie memorial, spec talk etc).

  Will the kingdom hall of jehovahs witnesses signs eventually come down?

  it is clear that the leaders of the jehovahs witness religion are rebranding.

  so as a strategy they could have both the jw.org signs and kingdom hall signs running at the same time and then in a few years instruct congregations to remove the kingdom hall signs.

  this happens all the time with commercial products when there are mergers and company takeovers.. .

  "Kingdom Hall" for a place of worship now sounds both antiquated and weird. I am sure it will fall by the wayside, to be replaced with what "cool" new name I know not, do they even need a name for it ?

  You wouldn't believe the snide comments during meetings and the counsel people tried to give me for building a house. Their reasoning was why are you building a house when Armaggedon is so close. Look at world events, the end can come anytime now. Only a fool would let himself be diverted by building a house right now.

  Well.....that was over 25 years ago. The JW's proved to be the fools by living their lives according to the Watchtower bullshit. You know, looking back....as much money I gave and things I did for that KH, not one of them assholes came one day to help me do anything in building my house.

  share yours, i'll start if off, i have a few i heard from the platform or from other jw's.

  one from the platform, a witch was studying with jw's, and she had a relationship with demons/spirits.

  when she was studying they turned on her and threatened her if she didn't stop.

  I always had my bible out when knocking on a door. I wanted to at least let them see I had something to do with the bible. I can't imagine knocking on someone's door then immediately going into playing a JW.ORG video on some tach gaget. That is just retarded.

  so last night i was talking to my sister about how i admired president obama's speech to the u.n that happened earlier that day.. i then compared the extremism of isis to how much of a fanatic my jw bil is.. at the end of the statement , my mom walked in to the kitchen.

  she was standing in the living room and she heard everything i said.. she called the elders that night to tell them what i said so they can counsel me.. i'm going to meet with them after the meeting on sunday!.

  what do i do?!!!!!.

  I can see a lot of old die hard JW's being upset about the rebranding of the JW cult. They are closer to death and each day the fraud GB promises look more like the lies they are. There is probably also the pressure to buy all these new tech gagets, and many older ones are on limited incomes. Probably many are jealous of those that can afford and already do have the tech gagets.
