and a surprise it is.
So nice to see you back.
hey y'all!
i haven't been online for a looooooong time, and just wanted to say hello, and yes, i'm still alive.
apologies to anyone who wrote me and didn't get a reply.
and a surprise it is.
So nice to see you back.
i was taking a break from this board but in a last few days there has been unexpected development in my own family.
my mom is leaving wtbs!!!
she apparently celebrated christmas with dad but even that was just a tip of the iceberg.
wonderfull - give her a hug.
i got a pm from gumby this morning.
as i predicted, he's being love-bombed by the congregation and invited out everywhere.
part of this is because he was very popular before and is a very likeable guy, but part of it is to try and suck him back in so thoroughly, he'll never be able to escape.
It's like the world is upside down.
Don't have real advise - only "be busy with work or study"
"have an headache" (worked for me) or "pain in your back"
I hope that you are gaining more then costing in the end.
i have been hanging on the couch all day, watching friends.
i have to say that even when i saw the series like a dozen of times, it still makes me laugh out loud.. my excuse btw is that my throat hurts, i sneeze all the time, have a ringing in my ear and some times - the room actually spins.. what have you been doing your sunday?.
not much.......... hanging around and bottled 31 bottles with wine (raspberries + red- & white currants)
oh, and coughing and sneezing - glad alcohol is des-infecting....
my mum is still technically a jw.
i say technically, cuz she has no intention of dying from boredom by going to a meeting.
so i'm cool with it.
It's curious, but when I met some of my old congregation, they always start to tell me "who left" "who died" "who re-married" "who got bank-rupt" they never tell me who are still in........
i'm normally a somewhat cynical person and tend to be annoyed by commercials....but the first time i saw this commercial, i dropped what i was doing and had to watch it.
then i had to get on the internet and find the extended version.
i don't know if it's the music, the color, or just the beauty of it all combined, but this is the only commercial that can bring tears to my eyes everytime i watch it.. oh....and the song is ''heartbeats'' by jose gonzales.
Scully that one is great.
one of my dobermans today, dragged a tarp off a pile of wood we had covered.
sure enough there was a large pink nose sticking out of the pile.
he went in and dragged out an oppossum which must have weighed fifteen pounds.
My 2 huskies adores children and are overall friendly to humans, but they are killers on 4 legs with all other animals (except other dogs, sometimes they are tolerated - especially when they are larger.)
They are having the sad record of 1 sheep (before I got them) the 18 chickens of my mum, a large rabbit (which was in a closed cage) and they broke in an aviary with pheasants and killed at least 4 of them. Those were all domesticated. And in all cases, they managed to escape the house. At first I thought that the frontdoor was'nt closed properly, but after a while I found out that they managed to open the door themselves. Today, the door is always bolted and - when I am out and the dogs are in - closed with the key.
While walking them out, each mole at the sid of the road was instantly killed. The only creatures who survived their attacks were hedgehogs....
When confronted with that behaviour it is very difficult to "love" your pets.... but as said before, they are predators and it is in their nature.
hi i am back.
haven't posted here in a long time.
i even went back to the jws for a while and then quit again.. i lost my best friend to throat cancer in march 2006. we had been very close for 14 years and i was convinced that i would still be able to 'feel' him, or best case scenario, 'talk' to him after he died.
(( Fairchild ))
Glad you'r doing well now.
just a little breaking news:.
after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.
last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..
congratulations
wish both of you a long and happy life together.
we are all aware that major occurances are happening in this earth and the heavens that are causing scientist, biologist, epidemologist are all in a quandry as to why a large chunck of ice seperated from the canadian artic ice shelf the size of which is the equal of eleven thousand football fields.
beyond belief.. what a great concern for mankind and the earth.
the global warming, the ozone layer enlarging asteroids, and whatever else they can think of is definetly destroying our planet or at least changing the global warming.
So many questions.....but are there any answers!?
I am afraid that answers - even when they exists, aren't going to be helpful.
Earth is warming up and there is a lot of pollution, but polluting big business will not be closed down (to much money involved).
As for the civilians: I don't see people get rid of their car, their TV, or go to bed when it is getting dark to avoid the use of electricity.
What's more, I am not absolutely sure that warming up is caused by men.

Would be nice if "Scotty beam us up" was a reality....
