by Satans little helper incd-wow has just got round to delivering my latest purchase - morning view from incubus.

it's a track called 'are you in' and i would swear i have heard the chillis play it but i cannot find it on bssm or californication.

Since leaving how have you changed?
by Joysome inwhat do you find yourself doing differently?.
do you ever feel a little shocked when your opinions on certain things have changed?
things that you were once so adamantly against?.

I actually think I got more uptight. When I was a witness I could handle all the stuff people did like promiscuity, and drinking and drugs. Now that I think I'm in the same temptation I have no respect for people who fall into the trap. I think if I can not do it with as much if not more temptation than most people they should be able to as well.

Miracles...
by Tuesday ini've noticed that they are two seperate beings entirely.
i just think about the ot circumstances, when wandering through the wilderness god guided moses and the tribe with a huge smoke cloud during the day and a pillar of fire during the night.
to prove that joshua (i believe) was to lead the people god made dew appear on a rag in the morning and no where else, then when joshua questioned again he made the opposite occur.

I've noticed that they are two seperate beings entirely. He made people be healed by looking at a dead snake, he rained fire and brimstone, he flooded the earth, he made the sun stand still for days on end so that the Israelites could win a battle, sent an angel to write things on a wall, let's not even mention the 12 plagues. In the new testament, he sent a dove of holy spirit to Jesus when baptized, caused an earthquake when Jesus was killed, tongues of fire appeared on 1st century christians, they all spoke every language, and when Saul was persecuting christians God literally made him go blind until he agreed to serve him. What's the last miracle that you heard of? And that stupid show with John Boy Walton doesn't count. I've noticed when we hear of miracles it's all stuff that's simply cooincidental. Like my mother used to say how certain things were miracles like not getting pulled over by a cop when she was speeding. I remember bringing this up once saying, "Well if God were real he'd make a pillar of fire right here to prove it" and then I was told that "God was not to be tested". Maybe I'm just bitter but I'm curious why all this crap could happen in the bible but now if I pray not to fart in the middle of an elevator God can't help me. Any thoughts?

Our number was one number off of home depot, people would actually leave messages on our machine which said "Hello (long pause) Nah just kidding no one's here so leave a message" with the order they wanted. Or they'd ask the hours that home depot is open. It got so annoying after a while I would just take the order and then give them a fake name to ask for, "Yeah just ask for Jack, oh my last name is Meoff" My favorite was using names people wouldn't get unless they thought about it, "Oh ask for Mr. Amah, my first name is Neil but most people call me N." or simpler "Benjamin Dover, you can just ask for Ben". Makes me laugh just thinking of people going to home depot saying "I have sink number 55247 on hold with Ben." "Ben, Ben who?" "Ben Dover...". "I swear the guy told me people call him N. so his name would be N. Amah"

something I've noticed...
by LuckyNun init's much more fun to anti-witness.
i used to hate going out in service, peddling a religion i didn't believe in.
but telling people about how the jw religion is full of shit?

Well when you're witnessing you have to watch what you say, how you look, know all the right answers and refer to the right material after all you're representing "Jehovah (and or his orginization)" when you anti-witness you don't have to know anything you don't already know because you're only representing yourself. I don't really ANTI-witness, I let it be known that I was a witness growing up and if anyone has any questions about it I tell them the truth as I see it. I was never really into doctrine at all, I just didn't like all the rules for no real reason which is what I tell people. It just wasn't for me.

Nearly all of the younger publishers worked for one elder who had a carpet cleaning business, another elder had a cleaning business, a few worked in stores, I knew of a janitor and one that fixed car vinyl. At age 18 I already had an office job making more than them, now I blow them away :)

When my Grandmother passed away the funeral was held in a church, actually the largest church in Providence. They had a mass and everything, my mother was one of 5 siblings and the other 4 wanted this as did my grandmother who was a devout catholic and active in that church for years. My mother went to the funeral too, she didn't participate in the mass as I didn't either (I don't believe in the pomp and circumstance not to mention I have no idea how to do all those responses to everything). I do think it's sad though, JW funerals that is, because when my mother passes I want people to give stories about her. I think it's important to remember the life, not the hope for it again. I know she's going to want a JW funeral and I don't think that it's too much to ask, it's her life and her funeral. I guess I'd have to side with the family on this one because if it were his wishes then I think they should be followed.
