How I view the Watchtower religion
by ignored_one ini've just come to realise how much this religion reminds me of those book and music clubs.
you know the ones, buy 1 get 5 free etc.
like the clubs it seems like a good deal to begin with until you read the small print.

all out of dreams
by Ravyn inwell folks i have been trying for the last few years to come up with a life and a future and some kind of hope that this world and this existence was worth the struggle, but i am running out of dreams.
war, economic problems, health problems, relationship problems.
i have come to a point in my life where it does not matter if i get out of bed in the morning.

you poor darling! im so sorry you're unhappy. sometimes i feel that way too i realize it's ok to feel that way.
Its ok to stay in bed and cry until you are ready for round 2! I have alot of big dreams but i know that i will never be a prima ballerina but i love to take classes and wear dance clothing. sound pretentious?
I felt like a fraud till an audition appeared in the news for dancers and singers who can move well that paid $700 a week.
Because i took the lessons anyway i caught on to the moves fast and could add my own interpretation. im not what any dance conservatory would accept but i got it. A chance to travel a little and some money, and to meet some up beat people. Show people are the best for cheering me up!
I have also learned from experience to be careful who you let into your life so most of my activities are solitary. It gets lonely but if you persevere opportunities and breaks do come.
Please don't be lonely, i did some volunteer work and worked with children and some disadvantaged youth and adults.
We talked about all sorts of things and shared simple things like singing songs we love together, lots of games, physical sports, and lotsa hugs its like your own personal support, or family.
There are all kinds of family, workmates, neighbors, store clerks, engage sales people in conversations, persue any and every interest you have find ways to join groups and get involved people can be refreshing.
Life can be good just hang on things can change for you things can go your way when you least expect it.
Every body feels bad sometimes, everybody has good reason to but there will be good days and great days and days when something fantastick will happen.
Hang on til you can make what ever changes are needed to get rid of toxic people, bad situations, lousy neighborhoods or whatever it is that upsets you. Do what you can to help it, even if its one thing every day.
Its ok to have the blues, do all your favorite things spoil yourself on these days. I kiss my own boo boos!

Did Jehovah Provide? Examples please
by anglise inhow many times have we heard from the platform about jehovah and looking after pioneers etc especially if they were short of money or something material.. in our cong it wasnt jehovah it was other brothers and sisters doing the providing.
usually those who were actually in a full time secular job.
the ones who took all the stick about not putting kingdom interests first but instead tried to pay their own way in the world without deliberately working short hours and claiming benefits.. this sort of thing really used to make me sick.. we even had one pio sister that used to make her bible studides fell sorry for her.

What is the worst thing about leaving?

everyone probably has a slightly different experience when leaving the witnesses.the worst aspect about this for me is the realisation that my enteire life has been lived and directed by a false premiss, and the effect past decisions now have on my life.. it can make me feel sick in the stomach on occation.. also the idea that friends and family think i have tuned bad or evil to have left jehovah is qute disturbing at times.

everytime my mother and i run into them they yell insults at the back of her head . she was in a very nasty ny congregation. they stalked her and caused trouble for her at work for years she could not hold a job.

most of them know that already.they choose to serve jehovah the organization not jehovah the god of heaven. They don't want to start over somewhere else and they see what happens to thse who leave at first , you knoww the depressions and all . They stay out of lonliness, fear or to move up in to higher positions in the organization and score some free flights on jw airlines
or for whatever perks are open to them. Alot of them cannot take the shunning, witnesses harrass them on the job get them fired , blackmail them try to ruin any relationships they have in order to impose a sort of death on them social death spiritual death which leads to isolations and possible suicide or mental problems. They like to think they have the power and some of them are viciously abusing it.

should shunning be reversed?
by kls init is so sad when i read threads of persons finding their in a cult, and want out .problem ,their family will shun them and ignore there own children and close family members.what if things were reversed?
what if the person leaving this cult shunned their loved ones, letting them know they are being brainwashed and you don't want their sick beliefs being pushed on them all over again.
i do believe cult members enjoy shunning , it makes them feel superior and they feel they are taking a strong stand just like the gb says to do .give them a taste of what they dish out ,shun the jw, if they won't convert to using their own mind, shun them with out guilt .

sometimes peple who are jealous and insecure use shunning to pick on someone that intimidates them.
you can destroy a persons life depending on how intense it is is. if the whole congregation gangs up on someone because they like to feel superior god help them.
