The problem with the "official" list is that they link to recent articles discussing old changes in a positive light. You have to read between the lines to see the truth. So for every change, you have to go back to the original articles discussing those changes. The truth rarely lines up with the picture the organization paints.

List of changes in last 5 years

i ask this because in what i consider some form of "hail mary" my elder father who has not spoken to me in a forever tells me he knows that tone of my hangups was the fact that there were a lot of changes.
he said that as far as he knows that there have only been 2............................... i am aware of a number of them but is there a comprehensive list anywhere on the net?.

Ha ha. You guys are great. Unfortunately, these are all DIYs, so I'm stuck practicing sleeping with my eyes open, inventing back stories for the interesting looking people (one lady looked like she got in a fight with her wardrobe, and the wardrobe won), and as sd-7 said, reading Bible books so I actually learn something.
One thing I just learned in Genesis is that God created light, day and night before he created the sun and moon. How bassackwards is that?
2000 people and we only had two baptized. This was a first. Usually we have ten or so.
Oh well, only a few more hours.

This could lead to a lot of us outing ourselves if we don't play along. My wife knows that I don't support the blood doctrine, but no one else does. I haven't carried an AD card in over a year, and I'm not about to. If I'm in an accident, I don't want the doctor having to guess whether or not he can give me a specific treatment or not. I prefer to not have blood, but I would willing accept as a last resort. If I can consciously choose another alternative, I figure that I'm in good enough condition that it's not an emergency decision. If I'm unconscious and can't make that decision, I'd rather have the doctor make it for me instead of a JW elder. My reasons for choosing non-blood alternatives are purely because I don't like the thought of another person's blood in me and the slight risk of medical complications that are associated with transfusions. But then again, I'm the kind of person that views rest and relaxation as the preferred alternative treatment to Tylenol/Advil. I don't take medicine or medical treatments unless absolutely necessary. -

Got invited to Sundays pep rally
by WasOnceBlind inso my mom who sadly is still in the "truth" asked me if i was going to the circuit assembly this sunday.
she knows i don't go to meetings anymore but usually when she would mention the assemblies i would say yes and go pretty much just for her sake.
however, this time i couldn't bring my self to saying yes, i've been reading "crisis of conscience" and i just can't bring my self to go anymore, even if it's for my mother.

This was my first missed special talk......and it felt kind of special. I got invited to it too. My wife and I haven't been to too many meetings lately and we got a call from one of our elders inviting us. Just said thanks, lol. This was also the first meeting I've ever been invited too. It feels a little weird being on the other side of the equation. I'm glad I'm not the one doing the inviting anymore. I hate having put people through that.
