I think of the good, the bad and the ugly...
The good being that most of us have found our way through the Borg and follow a new and better 'truth'
The bad being what most of have went through or still go through from the time of contimplating to leave the borg, actually leaving the borg, and the present.
The ugly being it is up to us to 'spread the word' of right and wrong within the borg.
My short time as a JW, I made some very dear friends, who I think about almost everyday and miss greatly. It is not them I am frown upon but rather their system of things and what it did to me in the long run. It is the shunning that makes me upset. Based on my own personal experience, I was shunned by my family when I became a Dub, then when I realized my family was more important to me and left the borg, I was shunned by people who I thought were great friends. It was a no win situation and I feel I would have been better off not to have let that first Dub in my door, start that study...and so on. If i can stop others from making the mistake I did, I will be vocal about the JW's..the organization..not the majority of people within the organization...although after reading this forum for a couple weeks there are some JW's that deserve to be man handled.

It is because of you (your new site was announced on the local news when Bethany died) that I am here. By being part of this forum for a couple weeks now I have had a lot of inner healing. I was not with the dubs long, but long enough to give me life long scars, and I had lived in silence for 9 years...
I read your first message to the forum and the last past broke my heart.
Don't worry about being new to message forums..your are doing great and will catch on to everything fast.

Increase in Publishers for Canada
by William Penwell injust heard today from my parents that a member of the canadian bethel said that there is a 1% increase in publishers from last year.
they made such a big deal of it but when you consider that this increase is mostly from jdub's that have been raised in it and are now starting to publish it is not such a big deal.
i was also told that they mentioned about the dangers of the internet and also about all the lawsuites that the "apostates" are bringing against the organization.

I am sure they dwell and make big of the 1% increase in publishers, but have they mentioned the percentage of members who have left the Borg? Lets hope they are feeling the heat. I am gathering all the data and info I can and emailing all the local news media's here in Alberta. Not much is heard on the news around here about the abuse and molestation...and with the fact that the Lawrence Hughs/Bethany blood was right here in Alberta..now is opportune time to let people know other dark sides of the dubs.

well, benjamin informs me that today his mum drove him to the sunday meeting and kept him in the car until the meeting started, and then took him straight out after it had finished, so that the elders couldn't talk to him.. apparently an elder saw my wife in the street and approached her, but she told him to get stuffed (politely) but he informed her of what they intend to do.. it will be officially announced from the platform that benjamin no longer qualifies as an unbaptised publisher.. where do these bastards learn to be such bullies of children?

How can one find solice is a "church" if they have to hide the kids in the car until the service starts? In regards to what fire dragon said...I would say its a good thing your son is finding out NOW all the prejudice and shunning. The earlier in life the better! Tell him we a rooting for him!

my dog fluffy and cat stinky don't seem to care they were put in the biscuit family.

My name is Falafel Biscuits, my husband Gizzard would not let me keep my mainden name Bun, I figured whats the difference between a biscuit and a bun? Welcome Bebop, I am fairly new here myself..but have gained so much in the time I have been here. I am like you..tried a few religions, am Christian..still looking for the right faith. I think religion is such an important aspect to a persons life and we deserve to be a little choosy when finding what is right for us. Personally I don't think we even need a church to believe. Its what is in the heart. Anyways a tad off topic there, Welcome!
