DA-ing Announcement in the Society's New Book

the society's new book 'organized to do jehovah's will', to be released in the congregations .

on the 20th of march, introduces a change in the df and da announcements.

announcements will read the same: "[name of person] is no longer one of jehovah's .

those who do not comply with its instructions regarding blood,

voting, joining the military, etc.,

I notice you mentioned voting......isnt voting a matter of conscience......that was the last i heard over here in australia...........

i remember someone telling me about 2 ladies that went witnessing and it was kind of in a rural type area.

she knocked on the door and no answer - so she went aorund the back and knocked while peeping in through the window/door. and would you know it - the guy and his wife were having a nookie.!

Do you know of any "baptized" JW's that committed suicide or attempted?

i remember one of my childhood friends was found dead and the police said he committed suicide.

i just could not believe it because my friend was a "devout" jw almost franatical about it.

now years later since i have seen both sides of the coin i am beginning to wonder if my friend did indeed kill himself.

i knew someone who killed himself the day the elders were going around to see him again.....they were the ones that found him

Did You Ever Enjoy Going To Assemblies and Conventions??

every january, they read the letter as to where you'll be "assigned" for the convention and then the our kingdom ministry will detail all the do's and don'ts to remember.

was going to these things ever enjoyable to you?

sometimes we enjoyed going.....but it was like you felt you had to go or else.

we felt that much pressure to go that we would have to sell things we had to get money to go. hardly had any money for spending and stuff. one assemblie we went to, when we got there we even had to borrow money off my own brother.

no one knows the things we did just to get to an assemblie just to save face. if you werent rich or were not well to do people we got looked down on. i will never forget that.

they say ..."as long as you are serving jehovah thats all that matters".....yeah right. what thanks did we get for selling our goods just to go to an assemblie, no thanks at all. what blessings did we get ...none.

it makes me cringe everytime i think about it.

hey when the gifts start arriving let us know !!!!

it took over a month for one of my gifts to florida & 3 weeks for the gift i sent to someone in california.... ( lousy u.s.a. post ) lol.

i sent one to england it got there in 10 days???

i got my present from "kitties" today and couldnt help rip my way into the box!

thankyou for the bath salts, i love them....i always put heaps into the bath.!!

Uh oh, we got caught

we are so busted.

i learned tonight, from my source, that someon saw our christmas tree and reported it to the elders.. rats, our days of anonymity are likely almost over.

starting tuesday, the local congregation has the circuit and the district overseer, before their ca next weekend.
