  i was counseled for wearing slip on shoes when i did my talk.....there was nothing wrong with them. they were nice shoes.

  We walked out of my mom's memorial service

  my brother, my sister, myself, xena and those with us walked out when we were called aside and asked not to attend the reception after the memorial.. more details to follow....... timb

  the details of who to send a gift to will be getting pm'd to you all either friday afternoon or saturday morning!

  according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.

  can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.

  Anyone else had phones calls from Indian Telemarketers

  i find this hilarious.

  the other day i got this phone call.

  i pick up the phone, say "hello", after which theres this long pause and then this indian guy starts trying to sell me a nokia mobile phone contract.

  X-mas card list....eeek I have a problem....

  i know someone else started a thread about exchanging x-mas cards but i could not find it and here is my problem....... it got started some time ago ( the thread) and when i recieved mailing addresses from pms i did not get a chance to write all the addys down right away.

  today, i went and bought my xmas-cards and thought i would start them and i now relise that alot of my pms have been erased from my inbox.if you sent me your address for a card could you please resend it to me.

  or if you have not sent me your mailing address but would like to recieve one from me please do so as well.....anyone else that would like to follow on to the list as well, please go ahead..... morty of the christmas is only 8 weeks away class

  well, guess what.....the same thing has happened to me. i thought i would leave the addresses in my pm list but now some of them are gone...so if i have promised anyone a card - please message me again or if you want one from me, please message me....

  my husband and i were talking about how if you stop going to the meetings and then the end comes that they tell you that it would be those ones that would say "lord did we not prophecy in your name etc etc"....... well, he suggested that it would also apply to those who were going to the meetings and maybe sinning a little on the side........so when the end comes, maybe it is those ones that will say "lord did we not prophecy in your name"

  Donations and the lottery

  i wonder what would happen in the following 2 cases if someone won some money by gambling.

  1/ someone made a sizeable donation to the society and then a week later wrote to them and told them it was winnings from gambling.

  2/ made a donation and included with it a note saying it was winnings from gambling.

  only a slight difference between the two, but what do you think? would they keep the money?
