  Fluff question for the Aussies

  my employer imports a lot of beef from australia and new zealand.

  they have to conform to as (australian standard) 3724.. what is that?.

  is it something to do with the box, the meat, or what?

  like many of us, i have struggled with weight all of my adult life.

  i came into this world weighing over 10 lbs, and it seems it has been a struggle for me almost ever since.

  i lost 70 lbs about 7 years ago, and kept it off for 5 years, however i have put most of it back on.

  i have a lot to lose....tried so many times and put it all back on...plus more....

  but i am going to start again and this time i am going to make damn sure i dont put it all back on..

  main cause of all that ..well, different things....no self esteem for one, didnt like myself because i was putting on weight, problems with some of my family, some in the family treating me like a kid, things to do with the witnesses.....oh well, whats in the past is in the past and i must move on,......hopefully to a thinner life!!

  when my mum died i took it very hard and would cry at the drop of a hat...i couldnt forgive myself for not being a the hospital when she died even though 2 of my sisters were with her....i missed her sooooooo much....one of my sisters told me what happened the morning she died and i would have that going through my head all the time...2 yrs after she died we moved interstate and i went to a psychic along with my sister in law,....and for me that was the best thing i had ever done,...i dont ponder over her death as much anymore, i dont feel guilty anymore about not being there etc etc...one thing the psychic told me was that my mother and my grandmother were standing behind me over my left shoulder....whether things like that are true i dont know but it was a great source of help to me....of course i still feel sad about the fact she died...i really miss her and i really love her....one thing was when she was dying she said she was going to heaven.....and she had been a witness for about 38 yrs....

  Do elders only beat up on women?

  i find it interesting that of all the horror stories i have read on this forum, it seems that women are the subject of the elders' abuse much more than men.

  is it because the elders feel more comfortable beating up, excuse me, "counseling" women, or is it because we women are more open with our feelings?

  personally, i was mainly the object of neglect.

  they think they can because women who are witnesses arent really suppose to speak up and they are supposed to do what they are told, be submissive and say "yes" and "no" master.....whilst bowing their heads!!!!

  Update on my elderly mom

  first let me apologize for any typos i make while posting this.

  tis a bit early and my hands and eyes aren't working to well together yet.. took mom to the doctor on may 23rd.

  over a period of a couple of yrs my mum had 2 hip operations...had "new" ones put in.

  when she had the operations she was awake-they gave her an injection that only put the lower half of her body to "sleep"......she reckons it sounded like a carpentry shop.!!
