when did the society begin putting the magazines on audiocassette?
did any of you ever go for these things?
do your watchtower study while driving to work?
I wonder if there is a way of playing MP3's backwards to see if there is some hidden meaning in the articles ???

we go through cycles every so often here.
we get new posters every week and at times we lose some posters.
when most "newbies" find this site, they are thrilled to be able to express themselves in a way that they could never in a kingdom hall.
And they all began shouting, "We have no King but Simon."

the latest watchtower, dec 15th 2003, is an out and out attack on the rank and file for dropping into a drowsy state spiritually.
ok, so armageddon didn't come before the generation of 1914 grew old and died.
but does that mean that the big a isn't near?
I think too many of us get carried away with this and are speculating far too much.
Let's face it, the most important date in modern times was 1922, when they blew the horns on that famous day in Cedar Point Ohio.

i've always obsessed about good grades.
i had straight a's in high school and through junior college.
now that i'm a junnior i'm struggling to do that.
I know my future employer won't care what my grades were but it's a personal goal of mine.
This is NOT necessarily true.
Many employers are simply interested in a person with a degree. Others however, especially employers looking to hire you directly into a professional position (engineer, accountant, etc), are definitely looking for outstanding performance in the classroom since there is little or no work experience to consider.
Also, don't forget that excellent grades are a key factor with scholarships and admittance to grad school or advanced degrees.
I really do not agree with that professor.

i can't believe they still refer to these shows as "soaps", but yes, i'll be the first to admit that i tape one soap show regularly, and am quite up on all the goings on.
and, sometimes, i suppose i can even admit to being obsessive.
this is especially so, if the story line is at a very good place, and the power goes off during my day at work, and it doesn't get taped.

Since I am still "in" but married to what we otherwise know to be an evil, wicked woman that is part of Christendom (Catholic), we have it worked out that we hang some "generic" decorations from out house all year long. We just turn the spotlights on during the holiday season.
If anyone makes a comment, I simply reply that they are for decoration and on the house all year round (which they are, just not lit up).
No decorations in the living room, but only in the family room/den. Even if someone comes in and uses the bathroom, the front of the home is, to borrow the expression, "beyond reproach." <grin>

i'm wondering, if jesus was on earth today, what would he be teaching, and would we believe it , or would we set up a website to discuss his thoughts?
I think Jesus would focus on the simpler things in life:
Always wear seatbelts, get plenty of sleep on school nights, don't run with scissors in your hand, etc.
