the 1975 debacle left the fds scrambling for explanations for the mass exodus of r&f who were disillusioned by their bs.
the pat answer has always been, "those people didn't keep pace with god's chariot" and they weren't "strong in the truth" and allowed something so "minor" to "stumble" them.

With all their number crunching and wanting the end to come on their own term, they tried to speed up things by mis-interpretating the fall of Jerusalem in 607, in some sort separating themselves from historical data placing the event in 587(which looked good for a while, they were different). If they hadn't tried so had in early days to speed things up, the generation would've only started in 1934 (+80=2014... giving them an extra 20 years) and we'd still be in the generation. All they needed to do in 1995 was put the blame on Russell and Rutherford explaining these guys ran ahead of Jehovah and voila! No more problems and a renewed hope.

who of us can be sure if he did abuse kids or not?
how can anyone say he is guilty or innocent (except a victim if there is one)?

Sadly this case involving MJ is a victory for the predators. I think there was plenty of circumstancial evidence to prove that MJ has a warped mind and is a sexual predator of young boys.

Or the one where this prisoner was studying using morse code (on a pipe or something) and never met the witness studying with him...(btw..what was a witness doing in jail...anyway) and he was relating his experience at an assembly when the brother who had studied with him got up from the audience and ran to the stage...hugging and all....such happy moments...

Basketball got a black eye...
by Special K inholy crow..this professional nba basketball game between the detroit pistons/indiana pacers sure got wild.. i wouldn't have wanted to have my kids their in the stands.
sheesh.... the big melee in detroit was just sooooooooo..upsetting for a basketball fan like myself.this fracas was as ugly as it gets.
now, let me get into how the uprising began.

One basketball site seemed to think that basketball might become like hockey and a glass needs to be installed around the playing field(court)
The glass in hockey was not put up because of violence between players and fans, but for fan protection. Hockey pucks are hard (frozen before game time), small and travel at speeds of over 100 miles per hour. Sitting behind the goal without the glass would probably hurt you pretty bad if you got hit. Pretty much the same reason they have wire mesh behind home plate in baseball.

I saw an interview one time with him on MTV, he had a guitar and was trying to explain to the girl the different modes and all, he was jamming all over the neck and talking at the same time.....and I thought...well so much for my aspirations...LOL...can't compete with that.
