Loved your posts, Terry. Your words point to something very beautiful within us all that is not dependent on outer form or condition; and when it sees itself in others, there is a nonjudgmental sweetness in this meeting.
Thank you for your posts.
there is no doctrine required for kindness.. you can't get it "wrong".
there is no judgement.. there is nothing to memorize when putting your hand out to a suffering person.
the human touch on a fevered brow and the comforting squeeze of the hand is irrefutable.. you don't have to graduate from a seminary to offer a smile and ask somebody how they are---how they really are.. there are no grounds for debate or rebuttal in visiting the ill, the dying, the widowed or the orphaned.. .

this has no doubt been covered before and if anyone has any favourite threads on this subject perhaps they could post them here .
what are your best one liners/questions to make jw's think?.
i had a heated conversation with my mum this weekend and apart from mainly going round in circles (as is often the case with brainwashed cult members) one thing made her stop and i could see that she was having major trouble processing the logic.
I'm with you, Sweet Pea.
What greater "evil" is there than the mass murder of men, women and children? Yet, the god of the OT did this over and over again, and threatens to do it again...in the billions.
Most all JW's are far more understanding, compassionate and loving to do such a thing, yet they worship as the "most loving" a creature who would.
Jehovah should be worshiping them...as their love is far greater than seemingly Yahweh could ever comprehend. It's all so crazy and insane.
there's a young man here in new zealand with aspergers syndrome who fell foul of the law in unusual circumstances .
.. the following article sums it up .
it's an interesting story.
I've been diagnosed with having low degrees of Aspergers as well as affected by other mental disorders. My heart goes out to those who suffer severely by it.
i retired in the middle of may.. i know many of you would love to have endless free time on your hands too.. right?.
ummm, well..... i'm use to being very active.
i use to stand on my feet eight hours a day.. at the bookstore i'd have to squat, stoop, stretch, lift, walk.. i had to sort, answer question, make change.
Seriously, perhaps being a hospice worker will satisfy you.
well just what is samadhi?.

Why wait until after church?
unless you're still searching for "the truth", are you happy to know this "truth" is not even out there?.
Perhaps there in no absolute truth in anything we believe or think we know; as beliefs and knowledge about a tree, is not a tree.
Yet, the tree may reveal it's actual truth if we are silent and open to it. May the "ultimate Truth" not be revealed likewise?

Fuck all of it! There is no "achieving of spiritual awaking". No way of doing something to gain the Truth of what we genuinely are. How can we attain by some effort what already IS? This is insane. This is a trap that will only continue to veil what has always been.
Please trust that we are, right here, right now, the living freedom of truth which we seek. So the question is: what blinds us to it??? It all comes down to false beliefs generated by the mind that hides what we seek. So it's not a matter of how to get from point A. to point B., but rather clearly identifying what veils the truth from us. It's more about subtraction than addition. Nothing need be added. Nothing.
Lets really take to heart the wise guidance that Poppers has to share, and really look within at the workings of the mind. Lets be still and non-judgmentally and lovingly observe...and take special note of the silent and pure witnessing awareness.

i wanted to post this thread about shelby.. she get's a lot of grief by what she posts on this site, so i thought i would start a post on how shelby has helped ones that have left the borg.. i can't begin to explain how shelby has helped me, i felt like i was in a hole and she gave me answers to the many questions i had.
no matter how many emails i bombarded her with, she always took the time to answer.
yes there has been times when i haven't liked what she posted, but i asked christ to help me understand and he did...... shelby helped me to open my mind and come to the realisation that the borg can no longer stop me from becoming the beautiful person i was destined to become.. i think i speak for many when i say thank you shelby!!!!.
Shelby, is a dear; no doubt about it.
lets face it, we don't know what humans are.
science is doing a good job at uncovering many facts about us, but even science cannot explain consciousness yet.
conciousness is still a strong mystery to us.
We may think we know what we are, but beyond all the ideas and thoughts about "self", what am I??? (not just me but as a general question).
Take away all thoughts, ideas and sensations of a self and what remains?: Pure intimate consciousness. Delve into here and let us see what is revealed.
For if we do not know what we truly are, then how can we know anything about the rest of the universe? The journey starts with the deepest and most intimate silent sense of being, right here, right now......or never.
